hi, ive just started a grow from some unknown auto flowering seeds. ive been told they are semi automatic dwarf lowrider#2 seeds. no such thing out there that i know of, but anyway giving them a go. i have germinated them and yesterday they started to come threw the rockwool. today the seed shell is clear of the rockwool. they are just inside a little propergater on the window sill. what i need to know is when can i put them under lights and when do i start nutes. i will be growing in coco under a 600w. should i use half strength nutes for a couple days then go to light feeding or what? any advice appreciated:biggrin:

put them under lights right away, but obviously not too close! i usually start nutes once they show sex, start on half strength then build it up.

so does any one have any thoughts about pot sizes?? ive transplanted my seedling to pots, i thought id ave time and put the rockwool straight in to my 10 litre pots, i didnt have enough and used some smaller 5in pots. the seedlings in the smaller pots are much bigger than the ones in large pots! im thinking it could be the water is more avalible to the roots in smaller pots. any know if this is correct?

1st thing u realy need to do is repot . them autos are root bound.
for 4 weeks old they should be around 16 to 18 " tall .
yes i repotted them just after i took the pics, but strange thing is that i put some straight into larger pots and they look the same, when i say 4 weeks, the seeds sprouted on 1st feb, so the dates figure from them, im struggling with these and i dont know why, my light is about 3ft away and is a 600 maybe its too close and i need to stretch them a bit, any help apriciated!

about a week after they had sprouted, they are in coco so used canna a and b, i figured this as coco contains no nutrition so although it was suggested to wait till sexing i figuerd they would need light feeding, i checked cannas website and worked out light feeding on the chart, i then halved it to make sure i didnt over nute, but unfortunately my partner trebled it last feed, ive since gave them a flush of ph'ed water, they arent drinking a lot though and i think are showing signs of over watering. should have stuck to the cheese!

Sexing autos is pretty easy. The males will show first at around 3-4 weeks. The females will show a week or so later. I've also found that the bigger plants in veg usually turn out to be males.

Let me know. I'm curious to see if anyone else has noticed that.

Same thing for me mate, all the males were a lot bigger and really easy to spot that way. I would say I could have picked out all of my males after a week just going on size.

Only exception Ive had was the Bush Pheno in the HBD, I was sure it was a male as it was the biggest of the bunch but nonono, guess there are always exceptions.

That has been my experience as well. Glad to know I'm not the only one who noticed that. I just started my first indoor grow. Have room for 12 dwarfs so want to keep it filled with girls. Watching them closely and will start more seeds based on how many males I think I have given their size.
