The foxy's are actually induced because they out grew the space. this strain normally does not put out fox tails.

About the strain.

The Haze was gifted to me some 10 years ago by a near and dear friend who has grown it since the early 80's. this is a clone of a clone of a clone X1000 and she is still some of the finest herb i have had the pleasure of partaking in. i call it 20 years old because i like to be on the safe side and i have personal knowledge that hes had it for at least that long. but its probably another ten or so years older. She is a really great strain. pretty stable. doesn't throw bananas unless you do some serious damage to her. She does like her cal/mag and isn't really a super heavy feeder. as far as yield goes its a moderate to light yield. even under the best circumstances under a 1000 watt light you'd be lucky to pull 1.75 pounds. i love it, will have it for as long as the ganja gods let me. But i'm always on the look out for something better. Next up for me is the Double Gum

Stoney check the links in the signature. there are some overall shots of my build and my cab. ill post up some overall plant shots when i remove her from the box for good.

training was not fun at all. and i still lost the battle because i was very ill during the hardest weeks of stretch. over all it could be better. ill get the timing right this time. i think over all vertical height is <32 inches. 24 inches long by 12 and change inches deep.

Nice Haze! I may have missed it in your other thread, but, How do you keep your temps in check using a 400 in a 2ft cab?! Great job, btw. :D

Looks yummy as hell bro. Did you say your flowering with a MH (Metal Halide) or did you mean to say HPS (High Pressure Sodium)?

Running a 400w in a 2 square foot space is easy with a cool tube.... and a big ass fan. about 400 cfm worth. with enough potential to cave in the plastic doors under vacuum......... its over kill. i know that. but i had it around why not... i was originally thinking of stuffing a old 1000 watter in there that i had as a back up, after being talked down by my friends i settled on using my 400w MH ballast that i've had for 8 or so years.

the ballast thats powering the latest grow is a 400watt lumatek that is adjustable.

the MH ballast has been an on going experiment to see the difference from HPS. im switching back soon.

Real nice line you have there!

Just a heads up...it seems the bluer the light, the more leafy DoubleGum wants to flower. I did some under a CMH and then HPS and the CMH caused them to be very very leafy and harder to trim. It seemed like the leafier ones were every bit as potent, if not moreso, than the better looking buds but the HPS buds were definitely more dense with less leaf.
I think that its all a line dependent thing...and I think BG is one of those that tends to respond to light frequencies differently than some do.
I say this because I have run other lines in the same CMH vs HPS test and some do identical in either light.

unlike many

I believe that as long as the plant that the clone came from was nice and healthy, you can go from clone to clone for quite a long time..

I don't keep mothers and have not noticed any loss after taking clones for years worth of generations

Some people say that if you take a clone of a clone of a clone it is much weaker, but I have never seen any evidence to support that claim.

I have a hunch that the fox-tailing could also be due to the use of the MH light. Looks great either way man!
