Well hello everyone
I want to log some grows and thought what better place then ICMag...
I'm a newer grower that has done a LOT of reading...
So this legal grow is my 4th or 5th run, and it's going to be an 8 plant SCRoG..
Chamber:
1800w MH/HPS Digital (three 600w)
Three 400cfm inline blowers
6,100K BTU Window A/C
Hydrofarm 45 pint dehumidifier
Hydrogen Pro Co2 generator
Sentinel CHHC-4 environmental controler
8 of the 7gal buckets filled with a mix of Coco Coir, Perlite, and Hydroton, all mixed to equal parts.
Basically I took a 7gal bucket of Coco Coir, a 7gal bucket of Perlite, and a 7gal bucket of Hydroton, then mixed them all together. What that gave me was an extremely fast draining medium, which I'll be using synthetic organic nutrients, and treating it as a hydro top feed system.
So, each 7gal bucket's bottom is filled with 1/4" holes, and each bucket is put into a 5gal bucket that has a 3/4" ebb&flo fitting in it for drainage, and then recovery. I will be recovering, topping off, adjusting the tds & pH, and then reusing the nutrients.
Each runoff recovery bucket's use gravity to drain into a reservoir which is below in the basement..
All the sites are being hand watered 1gal of nutes every 9hrs and runoff is about 40%...
Every 30 days each site will be flushed with about 20gal of tap water (128ppm @ 6.8)...
VEG Nutrients:
Heavy 16 VEG
Organic B1
Orca
Rapidstart
Cannazym (because this is the 4th time I've used this medium)
Nirvana
After the seedling week, I started veg with 500ppm (700 scale) and @ 5.6 pH
The runoff (40% fast draining system) was around 300ppm @ 6.1.
Second week of veg they got 800ppm @ 5.6 pH...
Runoff was around 500ppm @ 6.2...
They're starting their 3rd week of veg and I'm feeding 1000ppm @ 5.8 pH...
Runoff is around 750ppm @ 6.4...
Started VEG 7 days after breaking ground
8 Days VEG
14 Days VEG
Current Environment:
Day Temp: 80-82*f
Night Temp: 73-76*f
Humidity: 55-60%
Co2: 1500-1800ppm
Just tonight I noticed some rust on the leaves, and the reason for the pH bump up..
I'm also going to add 1 teaspoon of Epson Salt per gallon of nutrient to bump up the magnesium level...
I still need to get the netting on the SCRoG frame and get it screwed down to the floor...
The netting is lacrosse netting which has 1-1/2" holes...
