18 gal rubbermaid aero cloner too hot: magdrive350 too much? too much

I built an ez cloner with an 18 gal rubbermaid and a magdrive 3/350gph, and its too hot. Even with an ice probe chiller it feels hot. Should I get a smaller pump? I've also got a sunleaves 220 but I figured the magdrive would work better. I'm not sure of the actual temp because my hanna is fuct but it feels hot, room temp is like 75. What to do what to do?

Have you tried the smaller pump? Seems logical, might be worth a try.

Dump the water pump altogether and replace with air pump and airstones.

Freezer I've tried bubble cloning in there too, with the chiller I have now that would work, but I really want to make this think work.

I tossed in the smaller pump and changed the water it is staying nice and cool to the touch now, stems don't seem mushy or anything I think they will be ok... I'll report back

i was reading on the aero dyi thread that higher temps were ok for one guy ,as they spay it would seam to cool the water ,his temps were high and he had no problems
