My Goal

I want to try to get at least 1g per watt, and see no reason why this isnt possible. Ive heard of peps getting 155g, so well see how it goes. Lets say my goal is 6 zips : ) So basically my goal is to make you guys shit a lil.

Specs

Lighting - Converted Rabb security light (17500 supposed lumens)

Soil -MG Potting soil

Ferts - Humbolt co. ( when i start flowering

Ventilation - 3 Thermaltake 120mm computer fans (ill vouch for these being pretty damn quiet)

Close to getting 1g per watt yet? Lol.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade,
but you shouldn't count your eggs before they hatch,
and starting with straight MG soil isn't your best bet for 1gpw+

Very true.

If you get better soil and switch to a really good nutrient profile, that cab looks like it could definitely reach the 1g/w you're looking for.
I'd go with a neutral, non-fertilized soil and General Hydroponics Floranova nutrients. The GH nutes are excellent (when diluted and shaken properly) and work equally well in soil and in hydro.

I've been thinking about doing a writeup with the GH nutes in soil thingy. Hrmmmm.

Anyway, in any situation where you can't find the proper soil it's best just to be patient and order it off the internet or something. Starting with bad soil is tremendously stressful on the plants and on you, having to deal with it.

Best of luck, I'd do searches for other people using MG soil and see what they've done to cope. It'd be your best bet if you can't change soil soon.
