150w medium base HPS question...

So are there any tricks on using these 150 HPS medium base??? I know i need something to ignite it aka ballast or socketballast... something....

Is it work using this 150w medium base for growing or should i just look for a cheap 150w hps system??

Basicly im trying to veg 2-4 plants off a 150w hps instead of using my 600w (power consumption)



UNLESS there are LED systems that are somewhat cheap with a decent wattage

Any help? need to get my 3rd grow up and running

Medium base or mogul base (150w comes in both), you're going to need the appropriate hps ballast. You can find magnetic and digital ballasts for not too much money, or you can go the all in one route with those sunlight supply/sun system lights - sometimes you can find those for cheap on the net. Depends on how much stuff you already have (reflector, etc).

lol i literally only have the cheap bulb... 150w medium base hps... basicly i might be better off getting either a 150w hps system or a decent LED light....

I need to get some CREE lights asap.
