Ooooh, sito got da bloooberry.:D Not sure how long in flower but isn't it pure indica? There's a BB thread around here somewhere. If you have any trouble getting a response, try a PM to a peep you see growing it or has grown, whatever.

Here's the BB thread I saw earlier. It's DJ's Legends thread. The are 25 others with BB in the title. With any luck you might find the breeder?

70 days is longer than I expected but I'm guessing the day count is from flip and not after sexing (~2 weeks later.) If you start counting days after you confirm females, it's probably closer to 56 IME.

Not familiar with LS, hope you get the info you're seeking.
Best wishes with your friends grow. Looking forward to seeing some more BB!:D

Nice work on the plants! What is going on with the bends I see in the stem? That would make me nervous....

grumblez: Those "bends" are intentional. It's called super cropping. It's a very VERY good way to train your plants so that you get a nice even canopy which is very important when growing w/such a small bulb. You want as many growth tips as you can get w/in 8-12" of the bulb. Of course, a bit closer is ok too. It's also a great way to help the lower growth tips catch up to the top one. The highest growth tip on a cannabis plant (in most strains) puts out a hormone (I think it is) which inhibits growth in the lower branches. Training the plant sort of evens the score and all branches grow more uniformly. This is especially important in strains that stretch a lot.
Basically, where ever you want a stem to bend over, you give it a firm pinch and roll it a bit between your finger and thumb to weaken the stem so it falls over. I've seen some peeps leave it lay like that, but it's pretty vulnerable, so most folks tie or wire it to a screen or stake for support. Over time, the stem in this area gets really fat and knarly lookin. The plant explodes w/new growth above the bend and the lower branches catch up to the main cola.
Hope that helps.
Stay safe n stoned :rasta:

When do I apply the pinch? How big does the plant have to be and can it be done while flowering?

I'm not totally sure about the flowering part. I would say yes, it should be fine to super crop in early flower. When you pinch is determined by your training technique (scrog/LST...), how high you want your canopy, and how far apart the nodes are. You want to do your pinchin when the stems are still young and flexible. A woody stem will more than likely break off as opposed to bend over.
Like I said, a lot depends on your set up. When I scrog, I fix my screen about 6-8" above my soil. This gives me room to get my hands under the screen to continue training, and remove fan leaves down there once the screen is pretty full. Everything above that gets super cropped and tied to the screen. Once the screen is ~ 75% full (this is very strain dependent) I flip to 12/12.

grumblez- In my first run i was forced to lst/supercrop throughout the flower stage cause it was very Haze Dom pheno grown.....So to answer your question you can train you plants until flower although many suggest you dont train in late flowering i was forced to so i did but being my first experience with it i dont know whether i decreased or increased yield.

johnnyboy said he would bend all the way upto70% "tie down only after that"of flowering time the last few weeks of flowering are the most important stage imo, the plant is slowly dying off and eating up its reserves if you bend and start pulling of fan leafs thinking it will give the lower branches more light penetration... it will get stressed and it will take time to recover itself to normal stage of budding thus you will end up with less dry weight. again its imo and it depends on the strain and how strong and how long it can take training from the master sinsa

who makes the seeds? I just received my Nepals Snow (Satori x White Rhino), Breeders Pack (15 random seeds) and 5 freebies of PPP from the bay.

Not a bad experience. I'll let you all know how that delivered right to my door thing works out long term lol. Since I am a 150W minnow I figured there was minimal risk.

Hey DB

I have actually been wondering about that recently. Lets say, for example, a strain guide says a certain strain takes X amount of days in flower to be ready for harvest. Do you think they are referring to "Day One" as the day you flip to 12/12 or the day the first sign of sex appears?

I figure, if its when signs of sex appear, maybe thats why I felt my grow went a little too long last time because I was counting from day 1 of 12/12. Just wondering if the answer is common knowledge and its just something I missed along the way.

Thanks in advance :)

KB, I don't know. I guess it depends on the grower. You're lucky you didn't start counting after sexed. It would have been even more mature.

Just set up a temporary mother/clone nursery in an unfinished part of the house so I can start the flowering cycle in my laboratory.

mwahua ha ha ha

I am gonna clone my vegged clone and I started 3 of my Nepals Snow beans and 3 of my freebie PPP beans.

w00t.

I'll keep everybody informed.
