150W HPS Ballast Kit?

Are they easy to put together?
What else besides the bulb would I need to make this run?
Do I need to mount the ballast to some wood, and do I need to protect it in any way, other than moisture?
I'm thinking of adding a 150W HPS to my LED for heat in the tent...
For the completely clueless, do I need to look for specific things in a 150 ballast?
Specific cord or bulb type?
