125 cfl grow 400 hps bloom?

Hi to all, and hope you have any experience with this.
Is it ok if I use 125 cfl for growing from seed for vegetation and then start to bloom with 400 hps.
until now i had good results with from seed 2 weeks under 2x18W, then 2 weeks vegetation under 400 HPS and then switch to 12 hours for bloom under 400 HPS, but it takes some time like you see. i would like to start with this cfl for veg from seed but dont know if it is ok 125 cfl, or even is ok 200 W cfl.

try to stay within the watts to square foot rule and you should be ok long as your not trying to veg trees or a mass number of plants you will be ok good grows good luck more info would be helpful tho number of plants space ect

i want to use for veg plants growroom 140x60x60, so 125 cfl and 5-6 plants , and then also this 5-6 under 400 hps bloom (120x120x200). what do you think?

125 Watt CFL will put out around 7-8000 lumens. 60x60 (cm) is 4' sq :: 8000/4=2000 lumens per sq foot. Frankly a little low, don't you agree?

Do yourself a favor, either grab a 200w (14000 lumens total / 3500 per sq foot in your tent) or get multiple t5's. Either 4x4' (1 in each corner). Or get yourself a 250w halide, and vent the smaller tent into your 4x4. But this last suggestion assumes you have good fans/airflow, carbon scrubber, and aren't running some big 1000w lamp in it already.

OR you could lie the tent down on its side, now its a 2x4 horizontal clone/veg cab. 2 or 3 x4' T5's and you're done.

I've just gone through the same decision process. I started with 3x2' T5's horizontally hung low in the tent between the supports. So each side except the door/flap. Up top i've hung a 200W cfl. Got some 1x2 wire shelving from wally world which is used to hold a clone tray + pre-veg/moms. Works like a hot damn with only a 6" air king clip on for venting. Temps approx 75-79. Ambient temp - 68.

Yep.
You should do good with 125 true watt's of CFL for veg.
It is all about contain the light and keep them close.
Good air flow and you do great... CFL's rock bro.
