Hey Guys! :)

I want to do a grow report! So I started this one. :p

Actually, this will be a double report.

The report will start on 26th to 30th of August. My plants will be dry in a few days, so the next round begins.

I think I will try to make this grow journal a bit more detailed, so in case someone wants to try this out, they can replicate what I do, or maybe they are just interested in the details.

Let's go directly to the details:

LED:

  • Sanlight - 2x 4-120 (511W, 2 lights)
Here you can see the PAR-MAP if you scroll down:
Sanlight PAR Test

Setup:

  • Size: 120x120 cm (4x4 ft)
  • System: 6x15L (3.9 gallons) Autopot in soil.
  • Medium/Substrate: Biobizz Light-Mix with 50% Perlite for aeration.

Fertilizer:

  • Biotabs with a few additives.

Additives:

  • Compost tea for flowering (Biotabs - 24h brew)
  • Terra Aquatica - Seaweed (cold pressed)
  • Terra Aquatica - Humic or Fulvic acid (I haven’t decided which one I want to test)
  • Hesi - Hesi Super Fit
  • Dolomite lime - I will mix a good amount into my soil before starting, so we won’t need any cal-mag

Training Methods:

  1. Topping once.
  2. Low Stress Training
  3. Defoliating - a very light defoliation 3 days before flowering, and another light one on day 21 of flowering (or at the end of stretch).
  4. Scrogging - I will use 2 nettings: one 1-3 days before the flip (12/12), and the other will be placed on days 12-16.
  5. Lollipopping - just on day 21 of flowering (I think there are fewer leaves in the buds if I do it this way and not during the vegetative stage).
  6. Supercropping - bending and kinking for an even canopy.
There will be 6 plants, as I mentioned.

  • I will start in 0.25L pots (0.07 gallons) or 0.5L cups (0.13 gallons).
  • After 10 days, we will switch into our 3.6L pots (0.95 gallons).
  • After another 7 to 10 days, we will go into our final pots - the Autopots.

Genetics:

  • Seriotica - Serious Seeds 6x
  • Or
  • Strawberry Akeil - Serious Seeds 6x
  • Tell me what you think - what would you like to see more?
  • La Bomba - Compound Genetics 2x

Small Tent Details:

  • Size: 70x70 cm (approximately 2.7x2.7 feet)
My first time with coco was awesome, so I decided, before I try coco out in my grow tent and with Autopots (bottom feeding), I will work in my small tent with it.

This will be an experiment; I will try Hesi vs Canna. I know we don’t work from clones, so it’s not a real experiment, but I am very interested to see the results. I will try to water just once a week with drain for the HESI fertilizer; I hope it will work.

LED:

  • Mars Hydro FC-1500(150W)
    • (2024 Version with Samsung LM301H EVO Chips)

Medium/Substrate:

  • Canna Coco

Fertilizer:

  • Canna Coco A+B
  • and
  • Hesi (for coco)
I will do 5g (0.16 ounces) into my coco for cal-mag - it works for me, so I will use it again. We will have 2 plants without any perlite; the other 4 will have some, and I think we will do around 20% perlite. It will be super interesting to see which one will perform better.

Training Methods I Will Use:

  • Topping
  • Low Stress Training
  • Defoliation
  • Lollipopping
  • Supercropping

Final Plant Count:

We will have 6 plants in the end.

  • We start like the other one in 0.25L pots (0.07 gallons) or in 0.5L cups (0.13 gallons).
  • Then we go directly into my final 5L pots (1.3 gallons).

Genetics:

Here we do have a problem; I have too much I want to try, so I hope you could let me know what you want to see.

  • 2x Triangle Kush - CSI HUMBOLDT
  • 2x - 3x GRC X BBC F2 (Grape Rock Candy x Banana Butter Cups) - Square One Genetics
  • 1x Legends OG - Square One Genetics
  • 1x Diamond Gelato - LIT Farms (Gelato #41 x Ice Cream Cake sounds great)
  • 1x Corn Flakez - LIT Farms
  • 1x High Society - Compound Genetics
  • 1x CBD Critical Mass - CBD Crew
  • 1x CBD Shark Shock - CBD Crew
  • 1x MimSix - Serious Seeds
I do have a lot more in mind, but I think we will do it like this:

  • 2x Triangle Kush
  • 2x GRC X BBC F2
  • 1x CBD
  • 1x the best plant - I prefer MimSix or Gelato.
If you have any suggestions, questions, or comments, I am open! :)

My EC is 0.7 out of the tapwater, so the first run on coco was a success..
But i thought i will let u know that :)

Okay Update!!!

It was a bit of a hustle.

I received the Strawberry Akeil, Bubblegum, and Seriosa from Simon (Serious Seeds) personally (in a package). Man, I love this dude; honestly, he is such a great person!

However, there is something bad, of course... 4 out of 6 Seriosa didn’t germinate.

So I was left with 2, and 1 is really not doing well (growth rate).

I decided to pop 6x Strawberry Akeil.

All 6 germinated, but now I have a bit of a problem. What do you guys think: is it a problem when a few plants are 7 days ahead? I have no plan for which 6 plants I will use in my Autopots.

I'm not sure if I could counter that by leaving the 7-day older plants in the 500ml pots for 5 days longer, and then transplanting them into 1/2 gallon, and then into the 3.9 gallon. However, I wanted to transplant directly into the 3.9 gallon Autopots. So what do you guys think?

The right side has all coco with 10% to 15% Perlite. I water them EVERY DAY. What do you guys think about that? It’s my second COCO grow.

As I mentioned before, it’s Canna Coco, and I am using Hesi for the first time.

I don’t use any pH-; I do use Silic Rock (0.8ml per liter) to get the pH to around 6 to 6.2.

EC is 0.8.

My tap water comes out at 0.6 - 0.7.

Hesi has a lot of nitrogen in organic form, but it works so well in coco, even without any microbes. So that’s a great choice for guys like me.

I’m thinking about 4x 8L (4x 2 gallons) fabric pots in this 70x70 grow space, with 1 scrog netting.

The left side is the organic Biobizz Light-Mix side.

The plants in the cups in the middle of the left side are all the Strawberry Akeils from Serious Seeds. That is veg day 1 for them.

I see that one plant is slower, so I thought about using 1 Seriosa or 1 La Bomba with 5x Strawberry Akeil. Maybe a cut as well... I don’t know.

Then there is the Savage Hulk F3 on the right side in these cups. That is the strain I bred from Dark Horse Genetics (regular).

Bruce Banner (regular) is there as well, and in the middle, the plants that look sick are cuttings. They really arrived in this condition, but at least they have rooted.

It’s 2x RS11 (Breeder's Cut) and 1x Chimera.

I will put them into my mother tent in a week or so.

Runtz, Dante's Inferno, Wedding Cake, and Rainbow Belts 2.0 are coming soon! :)

Plants:

Soil:

  • 2x Bubblegum - Serious Seeds
  • 2x Seriosa - Serious Seeds
  • 2x La Bomba - Compound Genetics
  • 6x Strawberry Akeil - Serious Seeds
  • 1x High Society - Compound (Runt - will get rid of that one)
  • 1x Jelly Donutz - Humboldt Seed Co (will get rid of that one)
Cuts:

  • 2x RS11 - Breeder's Cut (tested twice negative for virus)
  • 1x Chimera - Breeder's Cut (tested twice negative for virus)
Coco:

  • 3x GRC X BBC F2 - Square One Genetics
  • 1x Triangle Kush - CSI Humboldt
  • 1x Triangle Kush that I damaged the roots, and it's growing, really slow; I want to take cuts from that one.
    • 1x Diamond Gelato - LIT FARMS
    • 1x Apple Fritter x Purple Punch - CSI Humboldt
    • 1x Ace CBD #1 - ACE
    • 1x Super Lemon Haze x RS11 - Greenhouse
    • 1x High Society - Compound
    • 1x Jelly Donutz - Humboldt Seed Co

  • Reg Seeds that I will top and send into flower to sex, and we will see what I will do with them later on:
    • 3x Bruce Banner - Dark Horse
    • 3x Savage Hulk F3 (bred by me)
  • Barely Legal (CSI Girl Scout Cookies x Pakistani Purple Kush) didn’t germinate -.- 9 seeds left.

As I said, the Coco plants are getting watered daily:
    • 0.8ml Silic Rock (for silica AND adjusting pH)
    • 1.5ml Hesi TNT-Complex (vegi fertilizer)
    • 2.5ml Hesi Root Complex (for the roots)
    • 2ml Hesi Enzyme
    • 1 drop Hesi Super VIT
  • (pH 6.0 - 6.2)
    (EC 0.8)

I used Biotabs Mycotrex for mycorrhizae.

I also used the Root Complex from Hesi, and the Hesi Super Fit (1 drop per 4L (1 gallon)) as well. Other than that, I just give kelp here and there once a week.

I never pH-ed my water for soil and never had any problems.

I will use Silic Rock (0.2ml) per liter (1/4 gallon), which brings some silicon and my pH to 6.5. I hope the microbes are fine with that.

If you guys have questions, then go ahead! :)

    Hope I didn't forget anything.

30cm = 11,81 inches.

Source:

If u scroll down to the 4x4 u will see the PPFD-Plot.
Its nearly perfect.

That is the reason, why we use 2 lights, because of the homogeneous illumination.

And there is a formula how to calculate the PPFD we want.

Like for example, lets say i wanna 350PPFD:
350 x 100 = 35.000
35.000 : 980 (PPF) = 39%.

That means i go into my App and give both lights 39% "power".

Sanlight is expensiv, but the quality and things like that.. are genius.

Thanks, buddy! 👍

Was it difficult to install the two lamps at the correct angle?

Cheers,
Donald Bud

Hey Buddy,

No, it's not hard.

You have 5 holes in each light; you can hang the lamp however you want.

Do not take the middle one, so the lamp will be at an 11° angle.

Measure 25 cm (9.84 inches) from the left and the right side of the tent wall. Then you will have 70 cm (27.56 inches) between your two lamps.

I use the FC-1500 with the Samsung LM301H-Evo too, so I don’t think the product is bad. It's really cheap; I got it for 133€.

Really cheap! But MarsHydro / Spiderfarmer cannot keep up with the Sanlight's. It's not even close because of the homogeneous illumination.

Close to 1000 PPFD all over the place is just great.

So you don’t have plants in the corners that are over-fertilized because they get way less light. You know what I mean by that?

I use autopot, so i will have to just put water into my tank anyway.
Every plant will drink like they need it..

I love this way of growing.. Provide everything they need - and they can decide on there own how much they want, even water.. I love this way so much.

Every plant drinks for it's self.

Like i mentioned before, normaly i just use my Tapwater directly (PH 7,6) and never had any problems:
20231102_140526530.jpg.jpg

But this time, I am using Silica - Silic Rock from Plagron. It has a pH of 1.5, which brings my tap water down to 6.5.

I am using 0.2 ml instead of 1.0 ml (reducing the dose by a factor of 5). I hope the microbes are okay with that.

Little Update:

Today and yesterday, I got 3 new cuts:

  • Dante's Inferno
  • Wedding Cake
  • Runtz
I tested them twice for HLVD (virus), and they came back negative, without any little pests, and they are the real and authentic cuts.

I highly recommend HerbalGrow from Austria; I cannot recommend them enough!

I’m just waiting for my Baby Jokerz; I really hope it will arrive this week.

Now to the Update:

Just as a little reminder:

  • Right = Soil
  • Left = Coco
  • Middle = Cuts
The Strawberry AKeil on the right side are now on Veg Day 4 (from sprout). The others are on Day 11; they are really slow to be ready for transplanting, but I really want to let them stay in these little pots (500 ml or 0.13 Gallon for our USA folks) for one more week.

I don’t know which ones I should take. As I mentioned before, my style of growing involves 6x 15L (3.9 gal) Autopots. Any Suggestions?

So I need 6 plants. I'm not sure if I can take:

  • 1x La Bomba (Day 11)
  • 1x Seriosa or Bubblegum (Day 11)
  • 4x Strawberry AKeil
Or:

  • 1x La Bomba (Day 11)
  • 1x Dante's Inferno (Cut)
  • 4x Strawberry AKeil
Or... what do you guys think? I really want a homogeneous canopy this round.

The Left Side (Coco):

I will not water the coco every day in the next run; I think it’s better to water every 2 to 3 days.

The Triangle Kush S1 is sadly a mutant, so I won’t use it and will have to throw it out.

Jelly Donutz has a slight Cal-Mag deficiency and is turning lighter green, so I "flushed" it with a good dose of Cal-Mag.

I used about 30% of the recommended feed chart and thought it was very smart to start light with a new fertilizer that I’m not familiar with. I will now increase it to 50% of the recommended dose. They can handle a bit more! :)

I will attach some pictures of the Seriotica; I had to chop them a bit too early because I need the space for my new mother plants. :/
