12 volt water pump

I'm looking for a good 12 volt water pump. I plan to pump and store water at my guerilla grow site instead of tracking water every other day. I have a 300 gallon stock tank I keep on the edge of the woods next to my compost piles. I want to pump water from this, about the distance of a football field through the woods to 55 gallon barrels near my guerilla location. The land is not flat, I may need to go up and down small hills 3-5 feet maybe.

I'm hoping somebody can recommend a good pump for my plans.

Check out the reveiws on this one, people seem to like its pressure and performance over a wide range of tasks including moving volumes of water through garden hoses and fire suppression.

Thanks for the reply calijim, I looked at that pump and similar ones. I have $100 on a visa, do you think I can get away with one of these pumps?

Those links are not working for me, but what I can say is this....

A 100 yards up and down hill is asking a lot from inexpensive pumps. If your plan works, money spent on a good pump should be worthwhile.

This pump is in your budget and is classified as "water transfer"...http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200352044_200352044

and a review of the pump..

..4 / 5Very adequate
Pump works well for transferring rain barrel water to garden 90 feet away and 4 foot elevation rise. I use my truck's battery and keep it running to as not to run drain it down. First time using it, I just relied on truck battery with engine not running; and it drained the battery so as I had to jump off my truck. Pump runs cool, has good pressure and volume for a garden hose. I recommend buying the warranty.

Personally, I would go with the more expensive diaphram style pump with the greatest gpm you can afford:2cents:

Appreciate the help calijim, I ended up getting the first pump you recommended after thinking about it.
