I pulled one plant that was 1.5 pounds...biggest one I have grown indoors yet.
I am pondering different checkerboard layouts and am about to set up some 4plant 5light rooms.
Sometimes at farm supply stores you can find rolls of 4"x4" or 4"x6" cattle fencing, It makes it alot easier to clean out the insides with the bigger holes..
I found a few hundred feet a couple years ago on craigslist.

No pics before room was full, I'll try to remember to get some for the short amount of time it'll be empty after this run.
I like the smaller holes of the 2x4 fencing so there are more places to spread the branches pulled out from the middle of the plant. It would be nice if it was just slightly larger though, like 2.5x4.5, but I'll live with it.
Tiny bit of heat stress right on the tops, they're pretty close to the 600's, but I don't mind a slight bit of heat stress, doesn't seem detrimental until the leaves start to do the curl thing. There's also a couple isolated spots of calcium deficiency that popped up, but I added some more to compensate.
They drink a little over 300 litres / 80 gallons every 2 days. I manually refill every 2 days. I don't like the idea of a float valve because I want to be able to see exactly what's happening in the res. EC and PH would always be changing from the fresh water, and it would be harder to see what the plants are doing. When I come back I want to see what they've done with the water they have, how the plants themselves have changed the EC/PH.
This isn't like a UC system though, the water level in the plant containers stays constant all the time, even as the res drops.

I set up a top off res made out of two trash cans with jacks premixed in it.
This was hooked up to a float valve in the res.
I can get a pic if you want.
I mixed it a little on the light side and it worked well.

hey there, love ur setup. I run something similar. 1k verts and 600 horizontals with reflectors, works great for me. My best run ever with this setup was 1.5 per light but 1.8 is doable with the right strain, good luck to you sir.
I have a question about your chiller. I have never taken apart a dehuey. What part in the dehumidifier gets cold? maybe I missed it somewhere..
Also what kind of lights on humidity are you running. Anything above 50%? How?

While I like the premixed nutes idea better than fresh water for the top up, I still wouldn't be ok with changing the solution I left the plants with. I like to see what happens to the solution when left on it's own, gives me information on how things are going. Filling up the water is easy, it's plumbed right to the res, I just turn it on and leave it for 14min and it's done. I'm there every day to check on things anyway. I am in love with my girls and this hobby. It combines my two main squeezes in glorious harmony, engineering and weed.
I also use Jack's highlife, but only in veg now, I found it to be lacking in phosphorus too much for flower. With Maxibloom, which I switch to about 2 weeks into flower, I get denser buds with more smell and flavour. Eventually I might mix my own from scratch, but I haven't quite found the time yet to get right into it and order what I need.

I was getting 1.8lb on a single plant scrogged on a 4x4' screen under a single 1000W for my personal grow before this medical room was set up. I'm definitely hoping to get more than that per plant. First run in here, I'm not expecting miracles, and I didn't get to veg the plants ideally either, But I'm still hopeful for 2lb+ average from each this run. In the future I'm expecting to average 3 per.
The coil that gets cold on the dehum is the one that's in the water in the pics. The hot side has fins and a fan cause it's air cooled, cold side is just a coil that gets cold to condense water out of the air, which can also be submerged into water to use as a chiller, but not directly in the res because the nutes would react with the aluminum, and it would dissolve into the res, that's why it has it's own res with the titanium tubing to exchange the heat.

I seen thAT cap over at the pharm had a pretty cool nute profile using epsom mkp and jacks.
I had some decent nugs for my first time with jacks considering I battled root aphids.

Middle of week 3 now, day 24 to be exact. I'm very happy with how things are progressing.

Followed you here from the vert forum. Very nice setup man. Mad props. I am a previously horizontal only grower that is going to be revamping and starting over in a different space. I've been studying the shit out of vert and like you idea of vert/horz hybrid. I have been trying to come up with a design that would be almost a complete bud sphere and your setup may have just given me some clues I had not thought of. I will be watching this one of yours closely as it develops. I still have two months till construction time on mine so----SHOW OFF FOR ME.
