12/12 from seed using super cropping?

Hello everyone!

anyone ever did a grow using the 12/12 from seed method and super cropping the plants at the same time?

would enjoy hearing some opinions/advices on this matter. think im gona do it in my next grow.

atm im doing a 2 plant scrog under a 400w hps, everything's running smooth till now but still 3/4weeks to go.. ;D

Are you super-cropping because you're limited by the number of plants you can grow? If not then go for SOG as 12/12 from seed tends to grow a central cola with few side branches so you can pack them in 4 or 5 per square foot - that would be your most productive option.

12/12 from seeds is main cola grow~ when i did it i potted em in those tube like soda bottles and stuck em in the empty spaces in the flowering room with the big girls though altitude the originator of 12/12 (& speescees) does lots a little plants w/o needing scrog/sog cause remember its an 8-10week grow to chop and yeah sats work best with this style of lotsa small plants=smaller yeilds=fun grow=using empty flower space.

im thinking of doing 6 plants in a 60cm*60cm space, i supposed i could fit 9 in there but still gona think about it!

maybe i'll just experiment supercropping 1 or 2 of the girls when the time comes, just to see if it makes a decent difference or not.

i've read a bunch of stuff about supercropping already but gona try to read some more before i do it, still some time till i start the next round!

i just set up my 400 watt room recently and didnt have any clones to throw into flower so i am trying 12/12 from seed on a few. i believe i have 6 total , and a couple others that had 3 weeks veg time. cant wait to see if they are worth messing with.

super cropping has worked for me on a single plant run i did with cfl... will be doing it again under the 400

i grow under a 400 as well, though i use clones, i currently run 48 plants in 2 beds, totalling about 22 by 32 inches, with this dense setup, i'm looking at almost a gram per watt no matter what strain i use! i definitely prefer sog, in my opinion when done right it's the most efficient method and yields the most. As i have a limited selection of clone moms, and for a good sog to work correctly you don't want to use a ton of different moms, variation is the enemy in a sog.

however to get a little more selection to smoke from i like to plant freebie seeds 12-12 on the outside edges of my grow beds. For a little variation to my personal stash, last run i did a skunk#1/hazeXsam the skunk mans mix...even with 7 or so different strains going from seed they finish almost the same height as a clone sog regardless to weather they are a sativa or indica leaning hybrid...

this means(and i think you can find this documented) almost all plants grown 12-12 from seed will grow one tall stalk,12 to 18 inches, from 7 to 20 grams per plant. they take up very little room, in fact to do a true sog you would need to plant them at least 4 per square foot (though i'm running about 10-12 per square foot i think), i think if you grew 2 plants 12-12 from seed you would be wasting a lot of space...personally if i were going to do a sog 12-12 from seeds i would want 10 times that many plants, about 20, so rather than 2 plants yeilding 14 grams each you get 20 plants yeilding 12 grams each...a much more respectable yeild, i don't think you could break more than 2 ounces with 2 12-12 from seed plants under a 400, wich is a serious waste of energy...

if 2 seeds is all you can get you might want to try growing them out a while, with a little staking, tying down, stem crushing, you can gently train almost any plant to fit almost any space...it's amazing the kind of abuse they can take, my last run i had an og kush split down the middle at a fork in it's stem, yet both sides finished budding and yeilded normally, despite me doing nothing at all to try to tie the stem back together.

I did my blue mystic 12/12 from seed and did a little supercroping with some lst and it turned out good for me

I did not supercrop the branches though just the main stalk twice

i did prune center little branches so i would only have colas going around my pot

i tell u what i sure need to start taking pics .. .the last run i spoke of did pretty well .. i cant remember exact yields but i think they were about 1 oz a plant that was run from seed

i have 4 more seeds that came from my last crop that i now have in the flower room .. lucky me they all ended up being female , i will take some pics tomoro and post them .. they are bogglegum seeds that came from my plant due to light leaks

This is a underdawg OG(left) and a sour kosher(right) both have been grown 12/12 from seed. I supercropped both, attempted to lst the kosher but the stalk broke(supercropped). They are both 24in from the dirt. As you can see there is nothing single Cola about them. My white widow did not respond well to the 12/12 but still grew into a little bush. So to answer your question yes supercropping would be a good idea. You can't force your plants to skip the vegg stage no matter what you do. I wish people would stop spreading misinformation I will add a pic of my 3ft supercropped and lst silver Kush 30 something days from seed with only a week of 18/6
