12/12 from seed...still good potency?

I was thinking of growing a nice sativa 12/12 from seed, or perhaps a week into veg as to cooperate with a height restriction. Now, I have been told that this will work, and feel confident having seen a few promising 12/12 from seed grows. I have me a pack of Sour Diesel IBL seeds on the way, and want to get a nice and potent product out of it (hence the seed choice ), but have been told that plants will lose potency with the lack of vegetation from a reliable source off the forums, and I don't want to waste the beans. I'll post this over is Rez's forum also to see if he has an opinion. Any first hand opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Clep.

12/12 from seed gave me 7 males, 1 hermie, and 1 female. All seeds were blueberry and godbud. Never got that many males before with 9 plants from the same batch of seeds.

I've read several times that a plant need to be mature (alternating nodes) in order to reach it full potential, this is why clones often produce better buds then their parent, they are already mature when cut.

I can't talk about sativas, but it certainly doesnt harm the indicas.

Yeah, to reach potential yield I agree...Yields will be less, potency will be same

12/12 with sativas doing good, but waiting when plant is full matured .

Veg for a week, and do a scrog/LST. Yield will improve substantially.
