12/12 from seed - different cannabinoid spectrum?

If I run my plants 12/12 from seed. Will they just be smaller or will they have a different spectrum of cannabinoids? Will be running CBD strains and regular strains..

I'm guessing there might not be a definite answer to this, but I think I have read something from dr. William Courtney that the plants need 90 days to produce proper amounts of CBD?

Growing for medicine, not for recreation, so I would very much like the plants to produce as much trace cannabinoids as possible...

Any thoughts?

dunno about what the doc said nor can i find any research on it. if you grow from seed 12/12 you will get tiny plants, probably 8-12 inches if it's full indica.

i would run them 18/6 for a month then flip them to 12/12

funny thing about cannabinoids, no two plants present identical even if they started as clones and grew under the same conditions.

as far as maturity goes plants will flower only when they are mature enough to do so and as far as cannabinoid profiles being different as per plant age, it does have some merit whether proven or theory. since terpenes take time to be created and therefore accumulated in general.

I just ran plants in veg (18/6) for 4 weeks (these particular ones were from clone), and they are coming up on week three of flower. They are quite large, so depending on growing space, I would just veg for 1-2 weeks, then flip. That's what I started doing now (2 week veg, then flip to 12/12). They are still going to veg/stretch under the 12/12 quite a bit.

My plants that vegged for 4 weeks, are currently over 3 feet tall, even with some topping, training, and pruning. The main stem is almost 1 inch thick. They still have another 6 weeks or so until estimated harvest.

The ones that veg'd for 2 weeks are going in at about 8-12 inches tall, and will probably end up at 16-24 inches total. They have been topped once, which seemed to stunt growth just a bit in veg.

They are hybrids, just for reference.:tiphat:

yes, hence the full indica comment in my post so no need to type all that out.
