12/12 from seed and taking cuttings?

Hi. I have never grown 12/12 from seed all the way through. I am wondering if it is possible to take clones from these plants in order to preserve the genetics while you are searching for something good out of them in the flower room. Im just worried there may not be enough branching to get a few cuts from.

Will the varieties flower sooner this way, than if i waited to see the preflowers under a normal veg lighting scedule?

Yes you can clone from them as normal, the plant will stay in a veg state until it hits maturity. It will then flower. You can take cuts off flowering plants as well, just the longer into flower you wait, the longer they take to root.

I would grow 18 to 20 hours lights on till plant is tall enough to have multiple branches..top plant and root cutting then flower parent..
