110 Cfm Enough?

My cab's 22x29x54 inches. I vent a 250 cmh with a 76 cfm axial but, I'm in the garage where things are cooler. I'd think 110 will be fine. If you haven't bought the fan yet, look at Great Inline Fans (S&P)

It depends on your external environment. If your cab is in a cool area like freezerboy's garage or an air conditioned room, you should be fine with that fan.

However, in my case, i had a 265cfm blower cooling a 250w hps cab, but even that wasn't enough, considering the fact my cab was in a tiny room where heat would easily build up.

So put in to consideration the area you're growing in and whether it's suitable for a cab that size, then determine the proper fan for the job.

Good points and it bears consideration that if you vent your hot air to a place where it can't build up or use a room fan in the main area the cab is in you can have much better results. Your cooling and venting design must be sound or you will not really be able to get satisfactory results.

I vent a 400W HPS cab that's 30"Wx20"Dx32"H (4.1sq') with only four 120mm computer fans but my venting layout allows for such a lackadaisical solution. I have a glass heat shield hood for the 400W and it has one 120mm intake fan and one 120mm exhaust fan. The cab has two 120mm exhaust fans and passive intake holes. With this design I have had no problems because my room is cool during the night when my light cycle runs.

If you have a sound design with venting to a window or floor or wall vent then you should be golden with that 110 CFM provided your ambient temps are within reason.

Good luck and keep it cool..
