11.5 x 19 Sealed Room

Hi icmag,

I have a 11.5D x 19'W x 8'H sealed room and I'd like to get the next phase of it set up. CO2, AC, Lights, Ventilation. I've been saving for a while so that I can buy good gear and use it for a long time to come. Can you guys please look over my list and let me know any recommendations, suggestions or changes I should make.

Lighting: I currently have 4 Gavita Flex6/750. Will be adding another 2.

A/C: I need some suggestions here. You guys think a 24K BTU Friedrich Breeze is enough? Or should I go with 32.5K Mitsu Mr Slim?

Another question: Being that this room is a bit wide would I be better off getting 2 separate mini splits to even it out a bit?

Ventilation:
Wall Fans: I have 4 Air King 18" 9018.

Scrubber - Can 150. Or Phresh, etc?

Fan: Any recommendations for a quiet fan? I used a 12" Max Fan last time and I sounded like a jet. I'd like something way quieter. Should I go up in size and use a controller? I'd probably still build a silencer box for whatever fan I end up getting on top of getting a muffler.

Co2:
I'm leaning towards a CO2 tank, regulator, controller combo as I feel its safer for whatever reason. Also because of the heat that the burners generate. What's your guys take? Is the tank doable or should I go with a burner?

Dehumidifier: Quest 155. Hey is Santa Fe and Quest the same company?

Any suggestions, tips and or advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Here's a panoramic picture I took with my phone of the room. Hope it gives a better idea of the space I have and what exactly it looks like. I can't wait to get this properly setup. 2015 I told myself I would finally do my room. It feels nice to finally see it slowly coming to fruition.

Looks like you have things in order.

I've used both tanks and burners and find burners to be much more efficient. If you can control the heat enough to allow temps to rise while co2 is dispersed you will be helping to increase the consumption of co2 by the plants.

I am building an identical room and intend on using 6 Gavita 6/750e. Have you used them before? at what heights to the canopy?

As far as fans, I've always used inline 8". Anything bigger is just to loud and mufflers only diffuse the suction after a certain point. If sound isn't an issue always go big.

Light: my room is 10x20' and i have 8 1000w de's in there. I put every light over a 4x4 area with a 2' walkway in-between. In a room with low ceiling lights like that, i would use the ac/de 8" air cooled de. Thats what i use due to 10' ceilings.

AC: i would go with the bigger of the two because your not air cooling your lights. You can never have too much but you definitely can have too little. In my 10x20' room i have a 36k btu split ac to cool 8x 1000w de.

Vent: I use can-fan and love them. I also use the 14" max fan. It is a lot quieter than the 12, huge difference. Can barley hear it.

Co2: I like burners, they are much cheaper to run. I order a 100 pound propane tank off amazon for $135 and it last a full run in my 10x20' 8 light. Cost about $100 to fill. If you go with the larger AC, the heat it puts off won't be an issue.

Dehum: For a room that size, i just use 2 kenmore 70 pints set up to auto drain and they keep the humidity perfect. The ones without the pump, really bad reviews on the ones that come with the pump.

What fan are you using to cool of those ac/de's? Do you run fan full speed? Read so many places about not air cooling double ended bulbs cause they need to build up heat to burn properly. Wanted to ask someone with experience with specific hood but hard to find information. Thanks

I use a 14" can-fan max fan at full speed. The ac/de is build so that the bulb is encased separately from where the air flows. There is a sealed chamber above the bulb where the air flows through so it doesnt lower the temp of the actual bulb. If your going de and want to air cool your hoods, these are the only way to go. None of the other companies have this technology.

Thought I'd give a quick update:

Ok. Here's the stuff that was purchased.

Put orca film on the walls. Didn't come out the cleanest..it was not easy doing it solo. Also it was my first time.

I'll be ordering a mini split this week and start installing everything now to get this up and running finally. Any help with the questions below would be greatly appreciated.

Lighting: 4 Gavita Flex6/750. Will be adding another 2.
Going to put a 2x4 and install them on that. How many feet should i have distance wise between the lamps? How about in between the rows?

Ventilation:
6- Air King 18" 9018.
How high up should I install the wall mount fans? 5Ft? My ceiling is 8'.

Scrubber - Mountain Air 14"x56"
Fan: Max Fan 14"
What could be done here -- the max fan doesn't sit flush on the filter unfortunately the way I had hoped. What's the best way to go about this? Add a little piece of 14" insulation and connect it like that instead of directly on to the filter?

Co2: Green Air IR-42
Is hanging the burner 24" from the ceiling sufficient? Any recommendations on where I should put it? Dead center? Right? Left? Does it matter?

Dehumidifier: Quest 155
I'll be hanging this bad boy from the ceiling with some aluminum angle and chain.

Any advice and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA

A/C: I need some suggestions here fellas. Since you guys are well experienced with this...what brand of AC do you guys recommend between the following -- Mitsubishi, LG or Friedrich?

Lastly, being that this room is a bit wide would I be better off getting 2 separate 24K mini splits to even it out a bit or one big one and put it in the center above the door?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to order an AC in the next day.

TIA

Here's a quick sketch of how I'm thinking of setting up this room. Any help, info and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Filter/Fan/Muffler Combo, Dehuey, Co2 Burner will call be suspended from the ceiling to give more floor space.

TIA
