Pimpjuice`s sweat and love......."priceless"........Damn right.....No wages earned on the setup and maintenance for sure or we`d ALL be wealthy.....well wealthier... :joint: ...Dewd........You`re off the hook with these bato buckets......I`ve heard positive feedback from several buddies doin ebb and flow buckets with the "silica" rocks taking care of ph throughout the grow...I`ve always used lava.........What size are the bato`s and what size drain fitting is pre-plumbed and sealed.....$4?........Hell I`m payin $3.50 per 5 gallon bucket with shipping plus the fittings and havin to drill and seal em too .........Can you get em online?........I`d like some if they`re built properly(thick enough) and shipping isn`t crazy expensive.......PJ.....I wish you great luck in your killer op........Looks like this is gonna be a thread to remember.........Take care and be safe.............DHF........ :sasmokin:

I have been in the construction business for over 44 years and I can really appreciate quality. Looks as though you planned this carefully and thoroughly. " Lots of assembly required, batteries not included ", lol.

Dibs on a nug !

happy growing and peace

nice project pimpy, and good little tip on hangin yer lights...i like that one

my only question to you is why not run a single strain?
through my experience it has always been hella easier to dial in a room
single strained vs multiples and with the 10k you don't really have any room for a leanring curve......pg+e ain't cheap or any company for that matter

I mean i have run multi strains but they were for the most part all sats or indicas like gdp and bubba, very similiar those two.

anyway good luck with the relay, i've had my fair share of cursing wiring those things up......and i like your test parameters.....no smoke, no flipping==all good. word

laer on bro

From what I see, the hempy buckets are superior to bato buckets in every way. Just the cost alone of your pvc and fittings make the hempy buckets a much more viable option imo.

I too have wondered how you're cooling off 10 k with so little exhaust and intake. But looking forward to seeing this grow go.

I think we have much different ideas about what a viable option is :nono: The thought of tending to 90 passive hydroponic buckets everyday is not a viable option for me, not ever going to happen (a true hempy bucket).
You have a point, but I personally wouldnt mind tending to 90 hempy buckets myself a day at all. But I fully understand this line of reason. We do have a different idea of viable, because we have a different set of circumstances.

A bato bucket system & plumbed hempy bucket system is virtually the same thing, they both leave a small amount of reserve water in the bucket. A black 5 gallon bucket where I'm at costs 4.50, and unlike hempy (no offense), I'm not going to go around collecting them for free at every restaurant in town.
Im not sure what you're point is ultimately here, as a bucket is a bucket. I dont go around to restaurants asking for buckets myself, but that is an idea. According to hempy, the Bato bucket is a spin off of his idea. Which infact may be true, because as you say there isnt much difference other then the automation.

^^^ shaolin, why you come in this guys thread postin nothin but negative shit w/ a smartass attitude bro...

i dont know what you dont understand or how pimpjuice could have made it more clearer...the bato bucket was a cheaper option, and also already came with the fittin so less work and parts to buy... he has a big ass grow, and if you knew anything about growing 90 plants in a 10k on consistent basis you would not be saying "but I personally wouldnt mind tending to 90 hempy buckets myself a day at all." lol yeah right..maybe the first week, what about all the other maintenance that goes along with a 10k??

and second i dont know why ur trying to stir up that drama with the "spinoff" bullshit..if you want to ride hempys nuts so bad go do his style of grow and make a gallery and thread of your own so you dont have to hate in others.

pimpjuice- nice setup man... how often do you run those drippers?? and do you have run off each watering?

for one, you are not him.
for two, if you think tending to 90 plants on a daily basis is easy... guess again. i run 3 different rooms, with a total of anywhere from 16- 32 at a time. and its a full time job (if you want to make sure everything is fine).

show some respect for this amazing grow.
Im sure Pimp is all for constructive critism, but i doubt he wants smart-assed neverdoneitbeforemyself remarks on his thread.

Pimp: that is.....[]D [] []\/[] []D dude. pulling up my chair for sure.

PJ...........If you had ANY way of collecting runoff for analyzing after feed you could definitely tell how much your plants were eating daily and over the course of each week, dial in their needs for maximum exploitation and yield......Just my 2 cents......Hope all goes well for yas my buddy.....I`m sure pullin for yas....Overwatering is the only downfall you could ever experience with this passive system........Peace.......DHF.......... :joint:

so 6 times during light on? is that normal for people using grorock or ur just experimenting to see what works best?

m starting to understand the bato bucket now.. i see how it rest over the pipe so a little water lever is kept but allowing the system to stay short and on the groud, thats cool...

so the 1.5 pvc is just tilted slightly on the ground and all the waste travels to a container where a sump pump removes the waste?

and is there a particular reason ur using the 2gph flag drippers...(just want to see if you thought they were better compared to something else you tried.)

there are deff alot of benefits to RTW like ur saying, but they way you have that set up would be tight if you used just hydroton as ur medium and had all those pvcs sloping so the runoff goes to a small container where a sump pump dumps it back into the main rez so it recirculates would be kind of like Soquicks system (except 1.5' lower!) into wich not that much detail was givin about b4 he "dissapeared" oh yeah w/ the hydroton the only thing is his feed times were every 30 min for 30 seconds...so not the thing to do w/ RTW. i have the link if ya want to check it out if you havnt.

im still undecided what to do, but i already have coco in veg, and everyone seems to be doing well with it.

peace
