freinds using a 1000 watt hps hes figuring the lights fine for plants around 5 feet in a space a bit larger than 12 x12 size of the space can be manipulated either way anyone know the perfect fits for a 1000 watt????

anywhere in the 4x4 to 5x5 range gives a good balance of intensity and coverage. For taller plants, think about either using something leaning on the 4x4 side of things or hang the light vertically in the middle of a bunch of plants ( arranged circularly around the light with an airgap)

wow only 5 x 5 for a 1000 watt i thought ud get more floorspace outta one but hey we never had one b4 ........ he has a cooltube for it i forgot to mention but would you still recoment a gap in the hotspot as you mention above??? any other random advice too would be great

I think you wanna shoot for 50 watts per square foot. So 50x25=1250 watts needed for 5x5. Irish is right about it leaning on the 4x4 side of things.

wow crazy and he does want them to be tall....... gonna be interesting to see what hapens hes been told the strain hell be using for the light is willies wonder ...... weve never used it before so im flowering one in ym small closet right now to give us an idea im using a little under 200 watts of t'5 in a space just 3 feet long by two and a half high btu its not packs with bud and the plants been trained well

allright heres the garden intended to go under the hps
all plants were trained few weeks back and hes waiting till there a bit taller to go in the chamber from what your all saying he should be throwing them in now????????

yes,they r gonna atleast double thru the stretch,looks like a happy canopy though.ur putting a 1000 in a cab?if so its gonna get hot in there,if you have the room you could put it on a mover if possible and cover a lil more space and keep it closer to the top of the canopy i had a 1000 on this garden for most of the flower i got a 400 mh towards the end but probably didnt effect the outcome much i had trees like you want i got about 2 and 3/4 lbs total dried not bad for one 1000 ive heard and the crop before this i got about the same no pics of that one though her goes the pics that i do have homie peace-Y-

Use a conversion bulb for the first 2-3 weeks into flower. You'll eliminate the 2 foot stretch on those sluts and get better penetration when you switch to HPS. Yeah, just make sure it's a conversion MH lamp for a 1k and then use that HPS 1k bulb after 2-3 weeks into flower.
Another thing, they look real good, why not choose the 5-6 best plants and train even further and then take the left over plants and clone em all, that way when you harvest those 5-6 prime females, you can take that cash and get yourself another light or 3 for all those clones.
Can you say triple your reefer, cash and be extremely efficient doing so.

conversion eh????? the ballast can do hps and mh , annnd hes setting up a floorspace for this but yea hes thinking hes got almost doubel the power he really does...ill make sure shit gets done soon then .... hes gonna have to trim alot off the bottom to make sure theres not alot of wasted energy at this point i guess that conversion idea is good advice.... ill look into all that fore sure... and for the 5-6 best plants trained again ... thats an excelent idea so good i tried to argue with him about why he shoudl pursure the pheno's of his crop ... his argument is there all the same cause there clones so theres no diff all have same genetics
doesnt clue into the fact that some are growing faster and better than other 
oh well........ ill make sure whenever i take clones im getting em form the good ones could...
