no one has done any research on these light, I called philips they said they put out 65,000 to 75,000 lumens. in white light does any one think there better the 400 watt cmh. doesn't seem like the penetration is to high for a 1000 watt bulb. They all so run on probe/pulse start ballasts.

What do you guys think.

CDM bulbs are basically the most recent ceramic metal halide arc tube design. That looks like a good price and they will provide for very good growth.

*not suitable with electronic ballasts
Old post , new tech leaves this an amazing lamp and running like a champ on digitals that operate at <174 hz, hortilux platinum is a lfsw ballast that runs at 120 hz, somewhat under the max of 174 hz
Run on a low frequency digital this lamp appears to be one of the best.

Looks like it's an 860 watt that goes with a 1000w ballast. Unfortunately it's vertical only :( other watts are universal position... So still sol for having a cmh light in my 1000w hps hood :(. I use a 400w cmh in veg and love the thing!

I'm running the allstart 860 watt on a hortilux platinum.

Oh I see you want to run it horizontal, yeah vert only. I think I'm gonna shit can that big ass parabolic and put the 860 in an OG hood, either that or a luxor.
