nice nice!!!!....you have to watch out for deprived nutes...the roots will eat up all the nutes and you need to pay more attention on the nutes in the water for optimal results..also more frequent watering...

Ralph that is sick!!! :jawdrop:

I use 5.5 inch square pots and Im lookin at an oz a plant at least. Like Sunsim said its not how big the container is, as the plant gets bigger its eats more and needs more water. As long as you keep up with the feeding and and the watering, you should get bangin bud from small containers. :joint:

1 gallon pots work well through veg. but if your planning on growing ...say a 1/4p plant or larger i would at least go up to a 2-3g w/ an elevated transplant. I 've read a bit on this & suppose if you watered it 2x a day & or it is in a resevoir than i suppose 1 gal would do. KR certrainly proved it true.

SS made a great point also if you have a really ...say strong well balanced soil mix w/ a heavy ammt. of nutrients than that also may make it worth while. Just my thought's ....take care all 3ld
this plant would have never yeilded over 10z's as it did in a 4gal. had i kept it in the original 1 gallon vegrs'....imho pez all :joint: 3ld

Hmmm.....I grow in a cab and i am limited to space with the number of plants I have. I think I might be able to squeeze by with 2 gallon pots during flower. We will see what happens....Thanks

when i used , and am going back to ,, 4 inch containers 6 inches deep , i would use fox farm soil, occean forrest ,, and i used pure blend pro.. in the veg state or when they came from clone .. i would feed them every 2 days with food , i would run water first , then i used 4 cups of feed ,, i would do this 3 times, after the 3rd time i would run water to flush out salt build up ,, thats a problem with small containers ,, they drink really fast ,, then the salt builds up .. i used clear ex every 2nd time o flushed over the time time feed .. when i flowered i used fox farm tiger bloom .. and fed the same way .. only thin different ,, i would increase the nutes after every 3rd feeding ..
and on the flush i used clearex to help wash salts ,, with this simple way i was getting
3/4 to 1 1/2 oz per plant ,, and 9 plants psf.. so i thinl this is a much better way to grow ,, and im going back to that method now ,, im getting clones ready for it now

No doubt the better yeilds w/ the 9 per/sqft., but i love tree's & if i can't get a q/p off a plant she probably won't be around long. We all gota do what works best for out sitch. Peace all 3ld :joint:

i wonder if part of the reason they do so well in smaller pots is because the wet/dry cycle has the opportunity to occur more recently as well as all the roots being in one concentrated area (i picture a root mass in the soil similar to what a hydro rootball looks like when fully filling the hydro container) so almost all the nutes hit the roots as opposed to a lot of nutes being washed out as is what can happen in larger containers. just my theoretical thought for the night.

my close friend currently has 12 plants flowering in 1.5 gallon pots. theyre about 2-2.5 feet tall and 4 weeks into 12/12. they seem to have plenty of rootspace i think itll be plenty 4 them. i can tell u that when i grow bigger plants, i use 7 gallon pots and ive had 5 footers and when they get chopped i cant see any roots at the bottom of the dirt when i take em outta the pots.

I was averagin around 1/2-3/4 oz in a 1 gallon with a 250 watter. I think I could get more now with better grow knowledge. I do think the 1 oz per gallon is normal.

I still like the 4 gallon to flower with. 1 gallon to veg and 2 gallon second stage veg. Also keeps the numbers down. Those Durban Posions really do stretch don't they. I have some inside and out right now and they stretch like crazy. Average smoke though.
