1 fan, 2 scrubbers. More costly, but more efficient?

Just wondering if there is any benefits of having two scrubbers on one fan. And wondering how you would go about sizing up the fan to the two filters or visa versa. I have a 14" max fan i could use for this. Can suggested using two can 100's, which seems a bit large for my fan.

Im not too hip to all the science (and there is a lot) behind fans or air flow in general. I mean, i know basics like how to calculate how many cubic feet of given space, and apply it to how fast/often i want the air cleaned or exchanged. I just get lost when it comes to things like calculating volume/velocity losses over long duct runs, turns, reflectors, carbon scrubbers.

Would you do two slightly oversize filters, or two filters each rated for half the cfm value of the original single filter. (Assuming it was matched to the fan correctly)

Im obviously not going to spend the extra money if theres not much benefit to this. I would like to hear your input...

How are you going to hook up two filters? If you connect filters on both ends of the fan, what are you exhausting, and where?

Quick question - are the filters recirculating or exhausting out of your flowering/lung room?
