$1,563.29 for a plane ticket...

This is about the average price of a plane ticket to Amsterdam for me I was planning on attending next years cup, but due to insane gas increases it is not looking so good. I just wanted to hear others thoughts on this inconvenience. Im not whining or crying, I know its the way life works.

Hey sack...the Marriott in the centrum would be close to everything, and the Krasnapolsky very close. The Krasnapolsky is a top hotel, so not sure how 'toke friendly' in the rooms they are. Have heard from a few folks that the Kras doesn't permit toking in the room, or anywhere on their property. It's a costly hotel unless you get some sort of special. If you don't mind not being able to smoke in your room, then it's an excellent choice. And they have a killer breakfast buffet!

i stayed in the sister hotel to the krasnapolsky,the babazon palace and it was definately no toking, there were signs everywhere, so i'd think the krasnapolsky would be same policy
if i remember rightly baccass stayed in the krasnapolsky in april and set off all the fire alarms with his judging pack,,,i think they tried or did charge him a few euros ,,,

if your staying longer than 3 nights i'd get an apartment ,,toke all u like then

I have found that buying your tickets seprtly will save you them most like get a ticket from your place to a major international airport to a close or cheaper country then to amsterdam from europe.

on the New US airlines theres a round trip from april 17-24 for $568 there's also taxes and fees but I havent seen this go for more then 200$ so that about $768 for round trip and $500-800 for hotel. so $2000 G's should do the savy person well for the trip.
