No idea why it happens but I've had some plants that did that. It didn't have any effect on the outcome of the grow but it sure is weird isn't it?

No, it's varigation!

OK, plants occasionally mutate in what is called a "branch" or "bud" mutation- it can be variegation, or any other oddity (smooth leaf edges, color, etc.). To make it simple, in this case, part of the plant's leaves do not have chlorophyll. The part of the leaf that is white, does NOT make food for the plant. Otherwise, it's just a normal plant. If the bud is also partly white, you MAY be able to scam inexperienced tokers into paying extra for this "rare" partly albino weed. But the upshot is, a variegated plant won't do quite as well as a normal sister. It will be smaller in proportion to the level of variegation. They do look cool, though. - Granny :joint:

Storm Crow is right on. This variegation is common in the Blueberry population. The most extreme case I have had was a DP Blueberry. Half of the plant was totally white. The buds themselves were actually white(kinda white/yellow actually)on that section of the plant. Many of the True Blueberry population I have grown exhibit white splotch or white striping type variegation. The Blueberry family population also exhibits the leaf crinkle or leaf twist type mutation quite commonly.

Its called a varigation or varigated leaf. Have to agree with Storm on this one.
