Holy crap dude, lookin' great!!!! This rain has got to be helping, just watch the mold. Did you get any frost the other night?? Feel free to pm me man We are much closer than you think! I get the 61 part of your screen name.
I'm pretty much into full-on flowering now. I butcherd one and should have two-three more to clip in about a week. Looks like some good weather for the next week or so.
Hey Wisco, glad to see things are still rolling along for you. Hope you have good weather into October. I also heard of some frosts in the past few weeks but definitely nothing signifcant. I feel like your girls are big and hardy enough that they will be OK if frost hits here and there in October anyways. Catch the Pack-Viking game? Feels good as always to beat those guys but things are def not as exciting without Favre. Finish up strong!
Looks like you got it going on for your first time outdoors.
Dont know about your area but its damn dry in these parts, the rains a godsend, as long as it dont hang around long and we get some sun and a breeze things will be fine with the mold, but keep an eye peeled for it.
HEY ALL YOU FELLOW CHEESEHEADS!...HUNTING SEASONS START THIS WEEKEND.............BE STEALTHY CAREFULL ALL OF YOU!
PHL8T: ya the rain has been decent, but since June ;my luck has kinda changed. I've been getting missed by a lot of the storms, or just catch the very edge of it. Keeping an eye out for mold, but I've hit them with Greencure twice now, so I feeling pretty safe. We didn't get the frost at my grow spot, I am a bit south of where I live, so it was all good. I am not too worried about a frost unless its real hard, my babies are some beasts.
Not sure what you thought the 61 meant, but some name somewhere sometime was taken and i chose 61 as the modifier. From Dylan's "Highway 61 Revisisted."
Bugg: ya i caught the game. I'm old enough to remember the pre-Favre era quite well, so eh, I've moved on. Rodgers looked good, hopefully he can stay healthy.
North: My area is kinda weird. It can be pretty dry, but the water table is so high and my plants are in semi-low lying areas so they stay pretty good. Rain just means I don't have to haul water! I hear you about the hunting, not a concern for my area too much, but it still equals tons more people in the woods. Although, now I get to scout for some spots for next year while simultaneously stalking furry woodland creatures so I like that part
About to head out to my spot for the day. Gonna dig a bed for some autoflowers next year. I have a spot in mind but need to double check the sun. Suppose I will put some corn out for the deers while I am over there, and who knows.... I have been eyeing up some chainsaws at the hardware store and there are some trees that gots to get got.
Yeah dude, thats how I used to check my bigger grows, pull on my grouse hunting duds, bring my dog and hunt through my area 2 times before i'd even look at the plants. its a good cover and a better way to see whats happening around your area.
Nothing major to report, things just kinda moving right along. Rained pretty much everyday this week, so wasn't able to feed them as I knew it would just get flushed right through the sand. But, starting Monday its supposed to be sunny and high 70s for a few days, so I shall have a chance to give them one last good feeding.
Wisco
Same here bro if you are cheese head we both got hit hard by rain all this weekend. I have yet to see what the flooding has brought to our local creek and river systems.
Good luck everything looks good and hopefully the sand should help get rid of excess moisture.
You have some nice looking plants budding there, but at the edge of your wondering, don't you wish you had some early strains.
Here in central MN. I have plants exactly like yours...packing it on, but 100 % white hairs...you and I have above frost temps in the ten day forecast, but anything can happen in the midwest...I have a couple strains chopped already, and am praying for the proverbial indian summer. Are you prepared to cover if it gets cold?
Ya, I definately wish I had some earlier strains but this is my first year growing so I used the mothers I had at the time. Next year, definitely gonna have strains that finish faster. I have 2 Early Misty moms atm, plus I crossed an Early Misty male with a clone of the biggest plant at the main plot. They are just a week or so from harvest and looks to be a shit ton of seeds.
For next year, I really want to get ahold of some Guerrilla Gold. I have been trying to get registered on unleashdagreen, but so far no success. Failing that, I will keep an eye out for any GG crosses on Sbay. Also I am gonna keep an eye and ear open for Esbe's HTC releases that are aimed at northern growers.
As far as these finishing and frost, I still worry but not much to do. I suppose I could pray or sacrifice a goat or somesuch, but doubt it would take I don't have any plans to cover them as its kindof a drive. My 15 day forecast looks clear, hope it stays that way.
some leaves are starting to turn colors up north, lots of smaller stuff dying back from lack of rain earlier.
wisco, I created yet another disposable email account, going to try UDG one last time, still havent heard back from the admins on the first 2 times i emailed them.
we need to start a wisconsin growers thread for next year i think.
Hey all,, Nice grow Wisco. A local farmer started chopping his corn this morning.just a heads up to some of you corn growers.I would love to do a nice size corn grow, but they keep chopping earlier every year. Its been a tad cold in the mornings but the last rain was a bleesing.i hope we all have nome nice weather till at least mid Oct. Everythings turning so brown compared to my lush green ladies, dam eyes in the sky.stay safe every one.Jimi
Wiso...GG is a plant I bred last year, after getting some seeds from Mr. Clone at Unleash the green...it is awfully strong, and early, but man will it give you a hangover...one of the strongest I have ever harvested...
I am more into Early Queen and NL this year...also Maple leaf indica and Mp5k from Dr. Chronic. My single GG is in, and looks to be a stinky and strong as what I grew out last year. Probably will jar it soon.
OGer, hows the early queen coming along? what latitude are you at? I'm eyeing that strain hard for next season.in fact let us know how all those strains do for you, got a grow thread?
Jimi, nice pics, looks like you'll beat the frost! care to share strains and lat?
Well, according to Accuweather, it got down to ~30 early morning, with no wind, 100% humidity and dense fog . So I am not sure what will have happened with them, this is a test I guess. I am heading over in a little bit to check, will report back.
I am in the same spot...central Mn, and right now it is 33 on my porch thermometer. But then it warms up here for another week, though it will be wet.
In the last ten years, I have not taken a grow past this very date...
Cold temps are in store for Wisconsin in the next two days...good luck, and nice plants.
And North, my EQ plants are gorgeous, but behind since I started them June 1 (bunk pack of seeds from the Dr., and Shanti sent TWO packs free from Italy.)
