When Pigs Fly

Its hard to tell from my little digital camera, but there is a eradication chopper landing on that distant knob. Last, week, i was stuck in a sinkhole for an hour while 9 searchers piled out of a chopper that had landed within 300' of where i have plants. I couldnt even leave! In all my years of growing i have never had so much aereal pressure. I have cataloged their flight patterns/ times/days for years and i thought I knew what days they came on, what times and what areas they searched heavily. Not anymore. They come every single day and all times of the day, from daylight untill 8:45 pm, and that doesnt even include the local sheriffs dept and their shiny new chopper and eradication team. What the hell is goin on man? I thought all the xtra choppers were in IRAQ and that budget cuts were going to hurt the erad effort?

The war is on Lou! Im just waiting for the bombs to start falling on me. I was hoping medical growers would have a friend in Mcsame Mcbush since arizona's laws had loosened a bit. Guess not

If obama gets elected, ill name a strain after him. BAROC = Bad Ass indica X Moroc!

Damn SB
That would scare the shit out of me. We do not have any fly overs that I know of. I get freaked out when a small plane goes over let alone landing to take out some MJ.

So I take they did not find your plant/plants (I know you plant in singles)?

Did you know about the plants or the grower they landed for?

What's a gallon of aviation fuel go for???

Flying around looking for plots of weed is such a waste of resources! I guess we can afford it...

no shit bro, with these high fuel prices it is hard to explain riding around for hours and hours to get a few veggin plants and some ditchweed......according to norml, in my state there were 1,799 plots eradicated but only 72 arrests....these guys gotten tighten up the ship or quit wasting taxpayer money choppin ditchweed and not bustin anyone. i know that sounds like i am on favor of people getting busted, thats not it at all. i just think Joe Public who doesnt like or is against cannabis use needs to lobby for his tax payer dollars to be spent more efficiently i.e. stop usin the choppers....i am VERY scared of choppers....thats the only way my shit will get busted and it frightens me. if choppers spot a small patch close to my house but not on my property will they be able to get a warrant for my home based on proximity? there is nothing to tie me to my grow other than this website and proximity....any thoughts or ideas?

The elderly cant get medicine, children that are hungry, bridges falling down, who the hell is picking the priorites? Your tax dollars hard at work Ulysses.

We can shoot that crow out of the sky farmaz2. That was a crow wasn't it? My eyesight's not quite as good nowadays.

hamstring, you couldn't have driven a thumbtack in my ass with a sledgehammer. They didn't get anyones pot and I only had 1himalayan gold plant there and I know they cant see 1 plant, they searched a big Sumac stand which looks similar to pot but I think it was some kind of training exercise. There was one porker that was talking to the others and pointing. They were on the ground only 10 minutes and then took off and hovered while they practiced repelling from the chopper.

It was a regular shitfest andyaub. I needed clean pants after they left. They flew straight in on me and its hard to hear a chopper comming towards you. I don't know how they didn't see me but I jumped under a small tree until they moved and then i hit the sinkhole.

dude Im blessed with water near enough to me that i would submerge all but my head and slink up under some overhanging brush and then start praying. I know in some places they use FLIR to find outdoor grows by looking for cooler lines running abnormally (irrigation) or unusually cool blotches (freshly watered plants) and then use the FLIR to scan the area for warmth to locate the cancer ridden med pot patient cowering in the nearby stand of bushes. i just wish the cops would fuck off, i mean seriously, why cant they be like the fire department? i just dont understand how cops got into the role they have in society where they are all up in everything. You dont see fire men just roaming around looking for fires to put out....they stay at the station and chill til they are REALLY needed. if firemen behaved like cops there would be a motherfucker standing there blowing out your lighter before you could light your smoke every time you struck it.

Silverback, you seem to know alot about choppers and i understand you are from the SE as well. i am wondering if planting near state or county lines, high intensity powerlines, or interstates has any effect on chopper risk. i am somehwat close to all of these things and could manage any one or maybe a combination of the three.

The Helicopters searched the heaviest ever last year, and I anticipate it to be the same this year. The reason in my area is because Mexican cartel grows are becoming more common here, so the Feds are giving massive funding for the local Sheriff to keep the choppers in the air.

But the choppers usually only search in late summer here, when the plants are largest and easier to see.

In the past the choppers only searched around homes, barns, veggie gardens, and other obvious areas, last year they searched everywhere. The flew up every little valley and cut, searching all the types of areas where guerilla commercial and non-commercial growers would grow, when I aw them doing this from my front poarch last year, it made me very scared for my plots further out in the hills, especially since I went ahead and planted a larger plot than normal(I usually plant smaller plots more spread out), with larger plants than normal.

This year I went back to smaller plots, and crept further back into the trees, better safe than sorry.

i just dont get it around here.....according to the dept of justice the big problem here is meth and crack....some home made and alot imported by se asian or latino groups. my state is like number 4 or 5 for outdoor pot grown as well so i really wonder where they allocate more of the resources....hopefully gas prices will curb some aerial action....i almost wish gas prices would skyrocket...it will hurt in the short term but it will force big business' hand regarding non-fossil fuel burning energy and might reduce alot of chopper activity. By the way...when fossil fuels run out how will people fly? airplanes or heli's would be awful tough to power without concentrated fossil fuels....we shoulda took the trillion dollars a week we have been spending in Iraq to convert to a non fossil fuel based infrastructure...but thats whole 'nother post for a whole 'nother thread.....

I Think if you do some research here on the net its a fact America is becoming a police state with totalitarian rule, and i dont think it matters who you vote for clinton or obama they are both working for a one world government, End the federal reserve Party.

Glad to hear you're safe, SB. At the end of all of this, that's what really matters. Stay safe growers!

Andyaub, didn't you know that marijuana growers sell crack and meth and give the money to the terrorist? The gas prices are making me look at where i grow. Im one of those guys that thinks his truck should be as big as he wishes his dick was. The coldwater shrivals are starting to look good!

farmaz2, better still we could buy one of those hobby planes and have a mid air incident!

BC, thats really the problem around here, commercial growers and illegials with no ties to the community and have made it very difficult on those of us trying to grow our own and hand out a few chrismas presents. I have to grow here after their gone and they are turning up the heat..

Im with you on that Johnyhash. 9/11 has provided the excuse for every concievable transgression.

Thanks Jon, youre right.

Look familar?

Had to duck under thick cover last week myself. Who was up there I can't say. Waited until the sounds were waaaay off before returning to normal heartbeat. Thankfully no one rappelled from it.

BEWARE of dirt bike riders as well. Spotted LEO coming out of a preserve on a dirt bike off trail. Checked their website and sure enuf, they are using dirt bikes to conserve fuel. "Adds another resource in protecting our community."

They may not be the only ones employing off road vehicles. Everyone should be checking into how their locals are dealing with the cost of fuel. Those websites are full of tidbits we can use in many ways.

Good luck to everyone this season.

Since your coyotes are already packing heat, why not train them for anti-aircraft?

gentlemen, you should be thankful it is still just like that over there... here in south america, the choppers and planes simply just spray huge areas with poisons (chemical warfare) to kill plants, but also pollutes land, water, and sickens people, cancer etc...
