Hello Out there.

As the topic says - I wanted to tryout myself if my leds works as veg lightning. (im pretty sure they are not top of the pop in flower)

Setup:
2xIce (nirvana) twins look alikes
2xIce (nirvana) twins look alikes
2xChrystal (nirvana) twins look alikes
2xSensiStarxS1 twins look alikes

The combatants stands behind eachother - think they match pretty nice up

4x18 watt cold white T8 (the leds are turned off now) - total 72 watt

4x168 led grow bulb each 13 watt + 1x18 watt cold white T8 - total 70 watt

Downstairs - this is taken of pure leds, no T8

Lightning is on 20/4 hours

Well now its up to the plants to show what kind of spectre they like the most. Just watered equal and same nutrients (+Rhizotonic+Canna Terra Vega)

Have a nice one...

So, just to make sure; you're not running that T8 with the LEDs, right?

Hi

Even_Seven - Yup, one T8 together with the leds, I've heard that the plants will be in lack of some spectre if I run the leds alone.

Minion - Think so. Bought em on ebay.com 6 months ago. Only ran them once and in that grow I concluded that they worked well, but together with hps. So now I wanted to isolate and see if they work "almost alone" or compare to the 4xT8

Cheers

Huh?

Huh?

Aw man..."almost alone"....what the.....? If you have to use the T8s with the LEDs it isn't exactly a side-by-side. :asskick: I was kinda excited about this, but now I'm just flaccid. :badday: I can appreciate what you're trying to do but the results will be inconclusive. :2cents:

Even_Steven - different people - different eyes.

I mean if the plants will lack of something running on the leds alone, theres no gain in trying that out and show ruined plants... And as long the total wattage is almost equal - Well I just mean - maybe someone here would like to see the results, and maybe they want to see them more than you??? And if its not in your interest? (dunno flaccid) then you might just scroll past the thread?

It was never meant to be a complete grow or anything else... Simply wanted to try the setups vs eachother for 2-3 weeks and then take a look at the plants and out from that - make my decission about what lightning I want to use in my clone/mother closet...

Cheers

nice man, i done almost the same. Only leds dint work so good, but fluos + blue LEDs, work grate! you get quit more compact plants than you will get normally, and they love that extra blue in vegetative.

I'm thinking about doing a 3-4 plant indoor grow with a LED bulb and a florescent Bulb.
Would that be enough for 3-4 plants?

Even_Steven - no problem man... just didnt think that was any reason to write in a bit harsh way... but if the leds suck alone - theres really no reason in makin a failure grow like that. But I would like to know if the leds are better than fluos. The wattage is almost the same - so I just wanna see what setup I should stick to? and perhaps upgrade on longer sight. - well no problems from here... over n out.

Homusubi - Nice nice nice... but your grow is almost the answer I was looking for... but now I have started it, so I make the run here myself also.

Minion - Honestly I dont know - yet. Thats why im testing - but I "think" it will be just fine as you say... but I dont think the leds will do the job in flower? so a hps would be needed, depending on your expertations to the yield.

I've read that the bulbs I have only use 6,5 watts each - so if thats true - I will be mounting the last 4 leds as soon as possible... downstairs - so we again have 72 vs 70 watts.

Peace
