Here's some pics of Black Afghani...Does anyone know about this strain?

I got this cut about a year ago through a friend of a friend. It was called "Black Afghani and came from the Garberville area in northern cali. It reminds me alot of Grand Daddy Purple and those strains. Was wondering if anyone knows much about this strain. Here's some pics.

This pic is a Grand Daddy Urkle on the left and a Black Afgani on the right...I can barely tell these plants apart.

CK - Supposed to be some killer narcotic smoke. The line I hear is inbred to keep the genetics pure but dont know for sure. I have seen whole plants completely dark almost Deep chunk in coloration. Special plant indeed and is really a good hasshish producer. Comes from the PNW. Good luck.

Hello!

I recently have just run into a little of this strain in the Arcata/Eureka area. It was grown indoors in soil organically.

Here's the thing, it really looks nothing like the sample you posted here. I got to see the plants before harvest and they too looked completely different than yours, much more lanky, less leaf, with bigger flower clusters.

Three clones were grown. One stayed green, in another the stem turned purple but not the flowers. In the last, the flowers were a deep deep purple, and the stem was green. Some of the deepest purple I've ever seen.

It didn't not look to be as crystal producing or as dense as your sample. I'll try and post a smoke report with pictures later.

It ended up with a delicious dark fruit smell, like plums and raisins. Despite not looking as potent as yours, it seems like it be a tasty treat.
Of course, in the marijuana world, your specimen could be the real strain black Afghani, or my specimen could be. Or we could be be completely off. ;)

Guys old post I know, but I am interested in this strain for anxiety relief. I first had it in the year 2000. It looks nothing like what you are posting. The original BA I had was dark dark purple, with very little or no green whatsoever. The hairs were bright yellow. It looked alot more like this than anything:

Something as simple as different phenotypes could be the reason some look more lanky or stocky.

I'm just saying the stuff at the CA dispensaries that I see is green and purple. No. Real Black Afghani is DARK DARK PURPLE. Actually black. - with sun yellow hairs. Exactly. Point proven. I will save this in my search for my anxiety medicine at local CA dispensaries.

Except yours doesn't have SUN YELLOW hairs - what declares the plant's hair color? is it genetics or other factors?

I've seen green crack with hot pink hairs before.

Black Afghani Kush is a strain by medicann seeds I'm not sure if its the same one you're clone is. They have a lot of other good strains I want to try like Mazari Grape, Blue Mountain Durban. I got some Black Afghani Hash from a local dispensary one time it was bomb as hell. The hash was rock hard. I think it was some bubble hash. Well I hoped this helped.

"If one can't find what hes looking for, might wanna keep searching" - I use this quote when I'm looking for guerilla grow spots btw. it helps me out a lot. I just found a great spot btw, right next to a river in the local watershed. peace yall I'm out.:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
