SWC of course...have never done this b4 i just gots the led lites today...I'm really just gonna grow the same way i've been growing in my swc/tron unit except for 1 modification, i took off the side compact flouros and added my new LED lites instead.. I gots 4 panels but i'm just gonna use 3 this time around....I sure hope this works folks...first pix is the before w/side flouros and the rest is after i removed th side flouros...i was also thinking of putting only 3 side flours along w/the LED's just to see if it would grow better but decided against it.....Hope this helps.


PS, Phototron bashers as usual please move on you're not wanted here....

What is a phototron?

I'm thinking maybe it's the ready-made micro grow thing out of the back of hightimes (years ago)?

I've always wondered if those really worked, I'll watch.

Led's are interesting too, where'd you get those?

Hey Phil - nice get up... if ya don't mind me askin, what did you drop for all those LEDs? I had researched them in the past and ruled em out due to cost...but that was quite a while ago.

Almost $170 for 4 panels........Hope this helps.

cant wait to see how this turns out.. i know you can grow some dank in your trons.. better than most peoples under HPS.. damn that price isnt to bad at all.. plus no heat and very little power used.. cant beat it if you can get teh same yield or better.. Keep It Green and Stay Safe..HE

Why did you removed the CFLs? Not enough space, or because you wanted to grow only with leds?

I think adding LED panels to the phototron would be better than replacing the CFLs by LED's panels alone. And letting the CFls would allow you to use just red leds (cheaper and with better emission per watt), as the CFls will give all the needed wavelenghts.

Anyway, i take a chair to follow how goes this grow

Bingo....i know how fast my tron grows are and I just wanted to grow with just leds just to see if the plants grow as fast...so far it dont seem to be growing any....gonna check out the roots in a few more days just to see if everything is ok. Hope this helps.
