Fun with fluoros

Hey

Once i had a friend who told me he has not enough room to grow indoors....

That's what he ended up with :biglaugh:

Strains are Nyc Diesel bx1 2 phenos (aka Bleifrei, Bleifrei sister), Sweet&Sour Diesel, Jack Herer, Jack Flash, Skunk#1, Titans Haze, zamal x skunk special and zamal x nevils haze

Nyc Diesel bx1 pheno 2 (aka bleifrei sister, very similiar to #1 - was flowered for testing

There are 8 x 36w fluoros in there... plants grow in 1l - 1,8l pots

- the space is under 50cm in height... and he's growin Zamal x nevils Haze in there... nothing's impossible

you caught my attention.

fluro is how it was done for a long time, and yeah, the buds it produces - seem to work just fine and rival any hps in potency. on certain more sun loving strains i'd say would only lack in yield on comparison. but those look pretty meaty

personal growers don't need to go so crazy with all these elaborate setups! 3-4 or so shoplights, and you can have some decent homegrown for sure. and they don't have to be right up against the plants like most assume, even 8-10 inches distance, they still work. the bulbs though, t5's run hot and more $ so you'll be fighting the heat, t8's seem just right (same output lumens as t12, and uses less power, only 32w ea)
you can pick up a shoplight (two 4 ft long bulbs not incl.) from a home depot like place that can take both t8 or t12 bulbs, prewired w/plug and all. for about $8 if you look through them and find the cheaper one that has the name "shoplight" on the box!

3 of those, some time and love, and your smoking your own homegrown.

Very nice man. I have couple of questions and it would be nice to get answer. How big are those pots? and are those plants grown from seed or clone? Im about to choose fluoros also

looks like they're from clones as the branches don't grow side to side even at the bottom of the plants... :2cents:

Pleeeaaase spill the beans about the setup if possible, Bob. Especially the fluoros themselves. I'm planning a grow space for a friend and results like yours would be, uh, nice.

Imho fluoros are nothing like perfect for homegrowers... hps are always more efficient!

but there are setups where hps can't be used, and therefor fluoros do the trick :wink:

plants are grown from clones... no idea yet how the final weight is... but my guess is that he made it over 100g...
