Well, seeing my circumstances do not allow me to flower, and I was just missing my little hobby SOOOOO bad, I decide a little while back to more or less, play around with some seed.

Pictured below is an unknown strain from a bagseed. Was a bit of some high-mids that accidentially included one rock hard nug of some serious dank. Lucky for me, it also had some seeds burried deep in it. It has been growing now for about 2 months, and is in a 5.5L pot. Plant is unsexed (although, I am pretty sure it is a she...) This is my bagseed "toy":

a little cheese

a little cheese

And for whatever reason, just one little bagseed wasn't enough to entertain me, so I decided to reach into my reserves and pop a known bean. (GHS Cheese Fem.) This little cheese has been through hell and back. From never really growing out of the seed casing on her own free will (had to use tweezers to help her out) to being root-bound in a 1.1L pot and having literally a minimum of 80% of the roots, including the tap root, completely ripped from the plant. (got knocked over)

Anyway, still just keeping her in constant veg mode. Plant is just about a month old by now, and for all things considered, is doing well. (I am including myself as a factor to be considered...hehehe) Without any further ado: a little cheese.

lol. I will be moving (several hours away from my current location....whole differet state) in just about a month. I want soooo bad to flower that one bush, but I know I don't want the hassle of moving a stanky bush...a couple of vegers isn't quite the hassle as a couple in full bloom.

I was just reading the one post in here...."how to move 20 plants....." and it is all the motivation I need to keep them just where they are....hehehe. (for now at least)

And at some point, they will be flowered, but it is not an option untill after I move. THEN....we'll see what life is able to afford me in the terms of an "ideal" home for my hobby.

Dr. Dog - the whole pre-flowers thing kinda eludes me...I have looked and looked, and I have concluded, female, but, I am no expert. I will take some marcos at the nodes and see what more experienced growers might think....

My bagseeder has been grown with no specific strategy in mind. I let it get about 2' and the hacked the top off to attempt a clone and control height. Then I had shoots that were hitting the light, so I made a small screen and started tucking them under it, (scrog training) but that wasn't keeping all in check, so I started on the LST, which I have found quite enjoyable. Stretching the branches out horizontially has made all my nodes perk up and I have so many bud sites just in full lighting exposure now. Anyway, it has been fun and a great learning experience to just toy around.

Cheese....still vegging

Cheese....still vegging

The cheese has doubled in size. AND MAN....she is VERY, VERY MAG hungry. I have been seeing the first signs of "rust" in the fan leaves, but have always been able to correct it....but this girl eats her nutes...and very quickly.

Feeding (every other day) 15mL of PBP grow and 5mL of L. Karma, and this time around also mixed in 1/2 tsp of epsom salts to help prevent the mag def. Will see how she responds to this feeding....this is about double strength of the last set of nutes for this plant, so hopefully, she responds well.

Wow dank...that cheese sure is a squat little mofo! I'd kill to have all my gals with a short internodal length like that! Good luck.

if you ever toss it into flower it should be a monster...
can you hear the "feeeeeed meeeeeeee!" in the night? =)

peace.

hmmm...funny that you say that. I feel that the plant is actually quite stretched in the lower nodes (say lower branches are pushing 6-8" long and are only at node 3 or 4), but as it got a bit taller and by default closer to the light, the nodes tightened up - naturally. I wanted the plant to have stretchy stems at first, and then tighter nodes at the top. The nodes have just started to alternate, so I went ahead an placed her about 10" close to the light....that should really tighten her up.

I will post pics later of the bagseed plant....if you like close nodes....then they will be porn for you....hehehe.

either way, thanks for the complement. :headbange

4/20 Cheese Alteration

4/20 Cheese Alteration

Figured what better day to do some gardening...hehehe.

Chopped her up a bit.

Used the bottom nodes for this:

And then tied her down.

now the bagseed "toy"

now the bagseed "toy"

This one is just getting TOO big. I still have her in a 5.5L pot and she is growing very well.

Thinned out a bit.

Looking like a proper "fruit" tree

VERY tight internodes.

still vegging...

still vegging...

here is the bagseed:

I would say for the most part root bound for sure, but still growing vertically. She has had the tops cuts on every branch, twice I think, to control her height....oh well.

I would love to know what people think about what she would yield, theoretically, if she was flowered...

AND my GHS "cheese" although, from what I am reading all over these forums, there is not a bunch of info on the strain...and not too many people seem happy with the end results. I don't know what pheno this one is, but, I do know that she is taking lots of extra nutes/mag. Feeds daily with 20mL PBP and 5mL of Karma and 3/4 of a tsp. of epsom salt. (per 3.78L [gallon] of water)

just an update...i have since moved. and to my dismay, to a very less than ideal situation...so these plants were either gifted or chopped...just thought an update was long over due.

Ah that blows man.. Would a micro grow be manageable in your situation? It must be pretty unfulfilling putting all that work into those babies to not be able to flower 'em :badday:

Good luck mang,

yeah, kinda a bummer, but hey, that is life. Live to see another day and one day another chance to grow..

Very nice thread Dank Frank. I have never really put much time into my veged ladies but I need to. This might be why I lack in yield. Thanks for this post and nice ladies by the way. Its a bummer you had to gift them. Whoever got those must be lucky as hell.

ehhh...the one BSP (bag seed plant) did do very well. The guy kept clones of her. Nice balanced hybrid buzz...but dense nugs and some serious vigor. He put it outside in his personal garden, and it finished up just at 10'...produced just under a pound and a half. The cheese plant was flowered out by another friend indoors, and he was a newbie. Gave to him to kind of play around with. Gave him just under 2 oz, but it was all a bit airy/fluffy...due to low lighting conditions...but he said he still enjoyed the smoke...so that is all that matters.

LOL....bringing this one back from the dead...hehehe.
