Skunk question?

G

Guest

Ive been growing many years but I became addicted to stuperous red eyed indicas very early and thats really all I have grown for so many years. My problem is I want to grow a skunk and don't know anything about them. Ive searched but the info I need is more basic than most of the search info.

As I know someone that grew it out, I ordered Lemon skunk fems from gh.

My questions:

Are "skunk" all the result of breeding very specific strains together or is the term"skunk" a catch all phrase for certain strain combinations.?

Do they, can they have different flowering periods finish dates and mould resistance?

Is the sativa/indica % makeup consistent or can it range?

Forgive my ignorance but I just never had a need for the info,

What is skunk?

Good Question SB! Seems sk#1 has alot of off shoots. When I think of Sk...Im thinking stinky, ghani etc. But Sensi Sk#1 was never that for me. It will yield very well..but it wont be skunky. Sweet is more like it. SB have you ever ran Seriouse seed products?? White Russian or Ak47??? Id personally would suggest these two as being killer consistant favorites of mine.

Hey HK,

I grew AK outdoors several years ago, but it didn't fair well outdoors here. Im starting to look at the white russian seriously lately. I keep hearing testimonials from fans like you, That means something.

ANYBODY, SK#1, "old school skunks", "lemon Skunk" red hair skunk"
What makes a skunk a skunk??

Hey silverback, have you checked out The Roadkill Skunk Fanclub ?

Dutch skunks are all fruity....but the Hill Temple Skunk is the only Sour Skunky skunk on the market. Skunk was bred out of it by the Dutch. But OGBub saved the skunk, by having it handed down to him, by his mentor. Who was growing it before it left the states overseas.

Skunk means different things to different people. Here in the North American Hemisphere, skunk means that nasty, dead rotted, burnt rubber polecat smell that you get when you pass a dead one on the side of the road. Skunk should not smell like fruit.

Skunk is most likely in many many lines of weed that are around.

as Monk has said, Skunk comes from the aroma that the plants put off, SK1 bred by the man that created Skunk(Sam the Skunkman) is a more fruity/sweet weed that Sam has said many times he prefered. yields great, and imo is no slouch.

you can find very skunky plants in many lines, the Skunk#1 freebies i did years ago, were all very nice plants imo, and seemed to be a sweet skunk to me, skunky tones with a sweet smoke.

at this point, the old school Skunk that has the RoadKill name attached, just isnt around anymore. at least not in seed form from a vendor. although as monk has said, there workin to bring it about. look forward to some grows of it myself, and see how it rates.
