400W Hut Grow | Aurora Indica & Blue Mystic

I finally had time to create a diary on my recent grow. Its been almost 3yrs since Ive had a garden, but I finally got settled in and Im not on the road as much these days. I was around back in the OG days with the C13/Maliboo threads...

I am using a 400watt HPS, air cooled in a HyrdoHut Mini. I am loving the HHM, its perfect for me to grow my medicine and not take up alot of room. I lined with with "Astro Foil aka Reflectix", its much easier to handle over mylar and provides a nice sound reducing effect...and best of all...its FRACKIN BRIGHT!

I have 6 Blue Mystic and 6 Aurora Indica at around 24 days. The BM surprised me, they are looking great so far. The AI look a bit stretchy but nice.

I am feeding with Pure Blend Pro Grow and Liquid Karma. This is my first time with the LK, and im noticing a big improvement on the health of these babies compared to my old grows.

I plan on going 12/12 soon, Im hoping to get 5 females, but will keep up to 8 if I get lucky...Ill be taking lots of photos over this grow, ill take them out of the tent for pics when things get more interesting.

Looking good bro, they all look nice and healthy. I'll be here to see you push those babies into over drive. I've grown AI before but it was sort of a ghetto grow. With the set-up you have here, the end product will definitly knock you off your feet. I hope you like it that way :rasta:

Hell yea man looks great cant wait to see this one finish up! Since you got the mini hut maybe you could look into gettin the CMH. Anyways good job man and I wish you a great harvest. Whered you get that Blue Mystic at? Keep it green my man!

Bigtimer7, I got both strains from Nirvana. What is the CMH you mentioned? Hydro setup?

Looking good so far man............I do really like the easiness of the hut's. I'm looking forward to your grow........I grew out some blue mystics couple summers ago outdoors and they turned out to be some really good smoke!!

all is well in the tent. I have 3 confirmed Females so far. 1 BM and 2 AI. No males showing as of now.

Im hoping to sex them all asap, the tent is getting a bit cramped.

the smell is pretty strong, so Im runnin the vent 24/7..

The CMH is a bulb that keeps the nodes tight together and makes the plant stay short and stout. Its pretty badas$ plus its cooler then the HPS. Check out the thread on it, its pretty cool but anyways good job man and keep up the good worK!!

i'm betting most of that smell is coming from the AI's. When I had my grow, I only had 1 AI efmale and it stank the whole house up. It gave off a musty plant smell but smells more like an overly ripe fruit up close. If you even touch the plant, the smell will stay on your hands for hours (unless you wash them). I plan on having a garden such as yours in the future whenever I get my own place. Those lpants are going to take good care of you if you take good care of them...

Very nice looking HHM you have there Kindred1. I too have a 400w aircooled hut and I must admit, it is awesome. Just finished some Nirvana Ice and Mandala Hashberry and boy are they niice. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see the progression :joint:

Thanks everyone. Ill read up on that CMH bulb. Yep, its the AI putting off the odor, but I dont mind runnin the fan all day.

I will be adding 2 Reptisun UVB bulbs when im 3 weeks into flowering. Im curious how it will effect the resin production.

Watered today with the same LK/PBPG-v tea. All is good, I think i spotted a male, but the others arent showing sex yet.

Found some nice stuff on SeedBay for my next grow..Blueberry x NL sounds nice to me.

When do you guys usually switch over to flower formula feeding? I think I used to wait till around 2 weeks into flowering, but Ive heard some start hitting them with flower formulas sooner...

Got some new pics. I just finished inspecting and now have 5 Females, and the other 7 have not shown sex yet! There is one BM that may have some balls, but im gonna give it another day or so before i chop it.

I fed them yesterday with PBPG-v, LK, and I added some flavor with "Sweet". Ive heard good things about the "Sweet" additive and thought id give it a shot.

Ill be transplanting the 5 females soon, while I wait for the others to show sex.

Transplanted the Confirmed 5 Females to the 4.5gallon pots and soaked with the Botanicare products. I was surprised at the root growth on these ladies, im not sure if it was the Liquid Karma, but something sure helped the roots.

I found another male, so I now have 5 that Im waiting on to show sex. I think I spotted another female...

Im anxious to start taking some bud photos!

ok, here we go, i chopped 4 males, so Im left with 5 confirmed females and 1 that Im almost sure its a female, its one of the younger plants. 1 BM and 4 AI... im happy with 5, but 6 would be perfect for me.

They didnt slow down at all after the transplant, no signs of shock at all.

ill prolly try out that cmh on my next grow.

I ended with 6 female. 1 BM and that 5 AI. The just got their first full dose of nutes since transplaning to the 5gallon pots. Im expecting some major growth over the next 48hrs or so.

The one BM is super short and unique looking, the stems and bud sites are super thick, I think its gonna be a nice plant when it finishes. All of the AI are uniform in size and looking good.

All is well in on Xmas in my Hut. They are bulking up and loving the nutes, I think Ill get some trichs very soon.... I ordered the UVB bulbs, gonna throw them in the mix soon....

I didnt want to take them all out of the cab for a photos, but I took one BM out for a quick closeup. Ill start cranking out more photos once the frost sets in.
