Upgrading to the new version of V-Bulletin.....Hold tight!

Hello to all of our dedicated growers friends.....

....Over the next weeks we hope to be able to upgrade to a newer version of the V-Bulletin software that this site runs on. This may cause a few problems innitially particularly in the posting of photo's area untill we have ironed out the kinks and got familiar with all the new features, please bear with us.....

Currently our storage capabilities for photo's is at 100% load capacity and we hope to rectify this situation by creating more space as the new software begins to run and any new pics will go up on that new server whilst older/current pics will still be housed and accessable from where they are now....

We have been involved in testing over the past days and have managed to migrate all of the text to the new software successfully and are now involved with integrating the 20 something custom mods and hacks that have been made over the years to the current software.......

....So we are in transition mode to create a bigger and better WWW.ICMAG.COM

I removed all my photos. Just trying to help. They were non marijuana related anyways. I also wanted to complain about some of the members posting 7-8 pictures in one post trying to describe the situation. Can't they just find the one picture that says it all? I don;t want to single anyone out here. A bud shot is a bus shot and 43 pictures of the same bud or same plant at same stage of growth yet from different angles under different lights sources.

with the price of a 15k hd you can buy 3 SATA hds and place them in raid 5. Like 1 TB instead of 200 GB.

Way better, in fact is the way google do it.

I managed to delet over 50 images in the last day...Gypsy...thank you for keeping us in the loop and for the upgrades! Just what I wanted for Christmas DD.

If photos were easier to delete, I'd delete some of mine. But if I have to go through that tedious process for each and every photo, they will stay.

Or have I missed something? Can we batch delete our photos?

BTW I agree with MT, can it be made easer to delete more than one picture at a time.

I made that possible along time ago....there is a stick I think in websupport....but after the new array was put in it doesnt actually delete the pics for some reason....thats why I gota delete all those pics.....the new gallery mass delete works though that will be up soon.

Yes, but SATA hdd's? The seek time and server capabilities arent that great on them, just because mb/s is high, doesnt mean that server performance (lots of read and write cycles) with be good too. My old 10k 9.1gb atlas III beats out my maxtor wd2500ks, and the WD2500 has tons of reviews on newegg saying its fast. 15k=seektime. The 500gig serial ata's w/2 gen perpendicular recording. Their previous 500gb models bench @ 12mb/s windows xp startup, and are fluent through HUGE queue depths.

So can we donate money for bandwidth or money for HDD's or a better pic server? :rasta:
