Do lady bugs do any harm to plants???

they eat bugs, which is good... be nice to the lady bugs....
lady bugs do not bother cannabis like everyone else has said here; they are very beneficial to the plant.

They have never hurt my plants.
That is the fake lady bug; real ones have red backs and black spots.
Whats a fake ladybird when it's about? They come in all different types of patterns and colours, Coccinellidae are a large family of beetles. All are varacious predators and eat aphids and other mites.

THey are like an asian beetle I think they are called...... will have to double check but they can cause issues but not with plants; and I do not know if they eat mites or not.

There is a similar, common species of beetle that is a pest, called the Mexican bean beetle. It is very easy to distinguish. Adults have eight black spots on each wing cover. The larvae are also very distinctive, and shouldn't be mistaken for predaceous larvae, because they have large forked spines across their backside. To erradicate this pest use a permethrin based spray on both the foliage and soil.

Ladybugs, or lady beetles, are a very beneficial group of insects; a single lady beetle may consume as many as 5,000 aphids in its lifetime. Lady beetle adults have a very characteristic convex, hemispherical to oval body shape. The head is covered by a hood called the pronotum. Many species of lady beetles are present in Kentucky. They may be white, yellow, pink, orange, red or black, and usually have spots. Like many of the brightly-colored insects, ladybugs are distasteful to predators. When disturbed, they may secrete an odorous fluid out of their joints to warn enemies of their distastefulness.

i have like 9 different ladybugs flying around in my grow area, i dont mind them

Ladybugs are awesome. I've dumped over 9,000 into my closet in one grow. My plants LOVED it. The scale pests I had HATED it...although lady bugs are NOT ideal for scale, they do eat them. They mainly eat aphids and mites and are used in horticulture everywhere as a natural predator.
The thing to know is that they require LOTS of water, and often the ones you order are already half starved and die quickly. VERY quickly actually. You must make water available to them easily by misting the plants and leaving wet paper towels around for them because they dehydrate FAST under the big lights...
The good thing is you can get a few thousand shipped for $10-20 or something. Dumping them on your grow WILL make a difference if you have pests, but with something like scale, they only curb the problem. There are other specific predators for scale but they are EXPENSIVE.
