Greetings & salutations Canna Community!

I've taken a long hiatus from the Cyberworld of Cannabis...been dealin with real life issues & needed to get away for awhile. Been busy raising a 12 year old, a 11 mo old....and to our(my wife & I) surprise, another Baby on the way! ....Lord help us!Hehehe

Anyways, I took the summer off to save some $$ on the electric bill this year, but just recently FIRED things up in my Medicine Kabinets! Kinda got me excited again...feel like a lil kid!

Here's KillBill's Medicine Kabinets....nothing fancy, but it works well with my limited space & keeps things stealthy with kids & family. Kabinets are in the garage. This image shows(from left to Right) my Veg/Drying Chamber, C22, C13, & Mom Chamber.

steve green - Thx for the kind words...I'll list some of the strains I have growin below.

Indica Sativa - Glad ya like it...small but effective for myself & the person I am a Caregiver for.

Most of the time I have stuff movin around, vegging, sexing, & flowering out.

Here are some pics of what's currently setup inside my Medicine Kabinets...

First inside my Mom Chamber...Ventilated by a bathroom fan & powered with a 125 watt blue CFL...I have some of my Mom's re-cloning in the small dome, 2 of Reeferman's Blue Thunder seedlings vegging, some new Mom clones vegging in beer cups, & a Bonzai Mom of Bloody Mary.


Next is inside my Veg/Dry Chamber...ventilated by 2 bathroom fans & powered with a 125 watt red/blue CFL...inside are 2 seedlings each of Reeferman's Blue Thunder & TRC's Hammered Cherries.


Now inside my C13...the top chamber is empty at the moment but it is powered with 2 15 watt floros...area used to clone with my dome. The bottom chamber is ventilated by a 4 inch inline fan & is powered by an air-cooled 430 watt Sun-Agro HPS...inside from the top left is Killer Queen, bottom left is Purple Urkle, the 2 middle plants are Bloody Marys, top right is Bubba Kush, & bottom right is Purple Kush.


Now to the C22...it has two chambers, both ventilated by a 6 inch inline fan. The right side is powered with a 150 watt HPS which is primarily used to sex & flower out seedlings. These plants aren't usually too big...currently I have 2 TRC Hammered Cherries waiting to show their sex & I threw in a small Arcata Trainwreck as well.


The left side of the C22 is powered with a 400 watt HPS cooltube...currently inside is East Coast Sour Diesel(left) & Toe Jam(right).



I'll have some pics of some of the plants out of the cab alittle later...

Dr Seuss - The old C13 was the best, slightly bigger than the current version. Yes, Winter will be Niiiiiice! Lots of different flavas due ta harvest somewhere close ta Thanksgiving! Food, Football, Tasty Buds...what more can ya ask for?

As promised...here's a few pics of some girlz that are alittle further along into flower.

First up is Purple Urkle. This is my "after-dinner" smoke...smooth, tasty, & puts me in a nice, relaxed mood before bedtime.


Next up is Lonestar's select Killer Queen cut. This is frosty goodness at it's best....pain-numbing meds!


This is East Coast Sour Diesel. A pain to let her go 85 days, but a MUST if ya want that head-whipping buzz to last longer!!


Here we have Toe Jam. Cheese x Flo...I absolutely love this plant! Like BM, it is in my Top 3 smokes at the moment!


And lastly, this is a small Arcata Trainwreck plant. Barely had room to fit her in this grow, but wanted to supplement my existing jar before it starts to run low.


Still waiting on 4 TRC Hammered Cherries & 4 Reeferman Blue Thunder's to show their sex...

Next beans on deck...Head Seeds Thai Bubble & TRC Monkey Snooze. Due to crack them sometime in October.

nycnoob - Again...really nice ta see ya bro! Like my variety, huh? Pop in whenever ya get time.

For awhile, all I was growing was select cuts & elites...was fun but I kinda got bored. Solution to my boredom...crack some beans!!! So, I popped 5 beans each of TRC's Hammered Cherries & Reef's Blue Thunder...4 out of 5 germed with both sets. So far with the Hammered Cherries, I've gotten 3 females...the 1 male went into the compost pile outside. With the Blue Thunder's, 2 have shown preflowers...waiting on the other 2. I'll get some pics of these 2 strains shortly.

On to the next project...Asian theme!!! I'm going to grow out Head's ThaiBubble & TRC's Monkey Snooze. ThaiBubble is Thai x SourBubble BX1 and Monkey Snooze is Vietnamese Black x B13....hence the Asian theme.

Because of space restrictions...I am starting with 6 beans of Head's ThaiBubble. I put them into my trusty shot glass and 48 hrs later, only 2 had cracked. I moved them to a paper towel & baggy...rested them on top of my wireless router. Hopefully we'll see some tails soon. If I get poor results, then I'll try popping the rest of the ThaiBubbles before moving on to the Monkey Snooze.

KBB! I have the exact same 2 cabinets as you; just one of mine is a little bigger! How strange, but they do work quite well in growing.

I'm very impressed with your setup, I like you idea about covering the holes in your "WorkForce" cab so much that I think I may just have to steal it!. Would you mind posting some close up pics of how you added all that weather-stripping + Mylar to your cabs? Hope you don’t mind if I post a pic or 2, to show you what I have done. I am very proud of my smaller Veg/Mom/Clone cab, I really haven’t seen the Velcro doors like that before and plan on making a post soon on how easy it was. But my Flowering chamber, although large, is unfortunately somewhat...obvious, and doesn’t have the best inside wrap. I get light leaks (the plastic WorkForce one) and the sound is pretty loud from 2 axial fans, hope I can learn something from your design!

Here’s my Mom/Veg/Clone cab, first it had TERRIBLE light leaks that were all over the place. So I decided the easiest thing to do was to just take off the front/back panels, put Velcro down, and then Velcro Panda Wrap to the top and then trim around. (Panda Wrap, or black and white poly, is the best invention ever, you can’t even tear it and its completely light proof, doesn’t stretch unless you force it and when it does its still lightproof! 6mm kind)

Sealed! Completely with no light leaks xcept some tiny rays from that fan(almost silent) in the top left corner(i'll cover light with a shoebox or something innocent). The front is now bolted shut so there is no longer a ray of light out the front lol.



Then I have the flowering chamber, its 46 X 21 X 72 so I get about just 60 Watts/sqFoot. I pretty much lazily tacked up the panda wrap, which Works O.K. I guess, no light leaks except for vent areas. Still, I wish it was flush and like flat against the plastic (I try to be a neat freak but not quite sure the best way to apply this stuff...). Originally the light leaks were horrendous! The whole box GLOWED when without the wrap cause it’s such thin plastic.

GrassArt - Per your request, these pics are for you. Please excuse the quality as my camera's not the greatest...not gonna get Subcool's macros or Rez's close-ups here.

First up are basic materials - self adhesive weatherstripping, foil tape, & reflective insulation(available homedepot or lowes).


Next up...some couple pics of Mom Chamber. Like I posted earlier...I was kinda lazy with this one & didn't totally make it light leak proof. I just wanted to make sure that it's not too obvious that there's a light inside. I taped the reflective material over most the walls.


And lastly...some pics of the Veg/Drying Kabinet. This one is light leak proof. I just taped the insulation material all over the walls & left some slack where the doors close. Added the weatherstripping along doors and top seal...and we were good to go!

Well, after 48hrs in a shot glass and then 48hrs with a papertowel...we got 3 sprouts. Only a 50% germ rate.


I pinched the ungermed beans to "crack" the seal & put em back in with a fresh papertowel...we'll see what happens. The 3 sprouts went into keg cups.

Given the poor germ rate...I am going to try poppin the rest of the pack. 7 beans goin to the shot glass...finger's crossed with this group. :wink:

Well, two of the three that I helped "crack" open have popped lil tails...but don't look too promising.

The remaining 7 beans went into the shot glass for 48hrs & then papertowel...which brings us up to present day. Unfortunately, it seems like we are having the same difficulties. I've ended up putting all the beans together & they are germing real slow!!! The ones that do pop have not taken off with any vigor...they just seem to sprout a lil knub & barely grow. In fact some seem like they aren't going to sprout out anymore.

Don't know why I am getting poor results...I haven't done anything different than my norm...and I've popped plenty of beans. Hopefully, a few more will come ta life!

On a good note, the 3 beans that have been transplanted into keg cups are doing great so far...I'll get some baby pics up shortly.

Well, the 3 in cups are lookin good...but the rest of the beans show NO change in the past 24hrs. Last resort attempt...gonna put the ones that germed the most into some FF Light Warrior & see if they come to life. Otherwise it will be a 3 out of 13 germ rate...not good at all.
