Preventing mold late into flower

Its been raining here pretty much everyday for the past week and a half, and looks like its going to continue for at least another week. Im in the south so humidity is high. My plants are about 3 weeks away from harvest and I am worried about mold. They are lst'd and have many tops so that should help, but they are also pretty dense plants so I could see mold being an issue. Is there anything out there that I can use as a preventative measure. I was thinking about seranade, then I saw that thread. Can you use that stuff this late in the game anyway?

Neem? They are over a month into flower. I thought you werent supposed to put that stuff on your plant when they have buds on them, especially this late. No?
Good advice on thinning out the leaves.

Hey Headees, I'm having issues too with mold at the moment w/ my one strains. Thank God it's only affecting one of my three strains. Strarted right after 4 straight days of rain. Been picking small spots of mold off everyday and if a whole branch is too bad, I just cut it off. After about a week it's been slowing down as far as spreading is concerned.

Damn that sucks man. Im real worried, I can only go see them at night so its hard to see exactly whats goin on even with a flash light. This season has really blown, its either drought or raining for weeks straight.

In Denmark we have something to use when making marmelade to make it last longer.
it prevents fungus and many DK growers has reported that its very good used in outside grow to prevent fungus and fight it if its already there.
Its called Atamon here but something similar is probably all over the globe.
The ingredients is natriumbenzoat, and its a low toxic salt.
Ppl here tell its ok to use it up to one week before harvest.
you have to thin it with water and use a sprayer to apply it

I live in a climate that has mold issues. If I were to stand still long enough, I would grow mold. You have to check plants daily to remove any mold. I use alcohol and cut out mold and remove from plant area. don't spread spores. Use a blower and blow some of the moisture off if there is no evidence of mold or shake gently. Also this close, I would suggest removing all water leaf at this stage. It allows the air to circulate which helps prevent mold. Viligance is what you need most. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Yeah, I have had major problems with mold outdoors aswell...I would really like to know what people use to combat it..

Problem is its really sketchy visiting them. Pretty much the less the better, and only at night. 88% humidity today, F*CK.

be carefull with the wounts after removing leafs, they also mold. maby not a good idea to remove to many fresh leafs before they turn yellow anyway

Can you use a diluted solution of hydo peroxide instead, or would it have negative affects? What about serenade?
Like I said I cant see them or shake them in the morn, I wish I could though.

I`d be extra careful when handling bilte..........use rubber gloves and make sure not to throw any blite or mold on the ground near the plants......it will spread like wild fire.....put it in a plastic bag and take it with you.
I treat my plants with a few preventive measures at the beginning of the flowering stage.......I use a foliar treatment of Scorpion juice on wk 2 of flower and again at the beginning of wk 3.....it`s a system acquired resistance viral inhibitor to help fight of viruses, fungi and bacteria.............it`s like giving your plants a hormone shot....it doesn`t stop the mold but helps to increase it`s ability to fight it.
Another good preventive tip is to clean out the bottoms of your plants before they start to flower...........this will help to keep them dry and gets rid of the fluffy...airy buds that never seem to mature and take up a lot of valuable energy that will now be focused on the top of the plant where the main colas grow.

when you cut out mold, sterilize your snips. If mold can not be cut out, use q-tip to apply alcohol. Hold your breath until mold is saturated. I have found mold on main stalk. Alcohol works as does seranade. We also tried tree tar on stalk. Treat mold first. let dry then paint on tar with artist paint brush. Viligence. And remove water leaves and leaves on inside. This makes trimming easier too.

It is way too late, if you do wait for leaves to yellow. By then the mold has covered the main stalk. A touch of alcohol on the wound or the tree tar. You want to cut as close as possible. Have tested this method for more than three years myself, grow partners have tested for 20+ years. If we waited for leaves to turn....would have lost whole plant. I also left out one key piece of advice...pick mold resistant strains! I have heard that messenger is supposed to help. But it was kinda pricey.
