Sweet Nightmare

Well well this is my first report on here and Im happy to do it with what I like to call a desert smoke, or a smoke that can carry over to the after party without ending it!

Sweet Nightmare - a little rundown of its "known history"? haha..

This strain was brought here to Northern Cali, by some folks from Indiana. The story goes that they went to Amsterdamn in search of some special genetics. They had found a good shop, but didnt get what they wanted, as they were walking down the street the owner yelled to them to come back and he gave them the Sweet Nightmare. They brought it back and kept it very tight in thier circle. If you are from the Bay you might have had a chance to smoke some, and the folks who made to Resource Green in SR, back in the day should have seen it for sure! .

Anyways, time went on, its still very guarded but I managed to get a cut. I have passed it on to a very special friend who I know will keep it safe! :rasta:

So back to the plant, its a very crazy, sativa growth but not a horrible lanky, very good producer that could go 65 days if you wanted to push her, but one that can be overdone if not watched,, basically you just loose a little taste.

The smoke is so sweet, like perfume almost, or like a piece of tutti fruiti gum, very smooth , and a very hard experience to relate.

Not a couch lock , not an up high, more like a spacey dreamy high that allows you to function but you just feel happy and light. Man i suck at this! haha..

So anyone else get thier hands on the nightmare? I would love to know what the original Sweet was. Its got to be Nigerian Nightmare x something sweet.. Anyways very proper strain!

I've only seen bad sweet nightmare, must have been the grower's fault. FYI there is a clone going around called "sweet & sour diesal" which is the sweet nightmare crossed with Sour d

its funny, I get on here to do a search for sweet nightmare, and find this. I'm where this is supposed to be from, and a friend is getting this out here. The buds are grown commercialy, but have a sweet aroma, and a hazy taste. I am looking for lineage???

Sweet Nightmare
Oh man. i have wished i could get this exact batch back ever since i finished it. the smell and taste were unlike any other bud i've ever smoked. grown locally. very, very well cured and trimmed. to attempt to describe the smell... it was sweet, citrusy, skunky, chocolatey, minty, planty, and foreign to the nose as any scent could be. the strain's name seems to do a wonderful job of describing it as a whole. Maybe only after you've smoked it can you understand the connection between the smell, taste, and name, but either way the stuff was great. got me insanely high... i would feel my ears pulsating and if i closed my eyes my limbs would go numb. Fuck... great, great weed. one of a kind

I repeat, I love the nightmare. Just makes my whole body melt.

NE1 wanna throw me a cut?

Comin' from Indiana makes me think this is some perverse bubblegum sport.

Indiana's got the lock on OG bubblegum and I do love me some bubblegum and the fact that I love SN also makes me think maybe there's a connection.
Maybe wishful thinking but maybe not also.

BTW, AHHS was the source I got it from. If they're pushin it, so be it. :)

I used to get this at Ahhs, as well.... It was my favorite of their strains... I would bring them my OG Kush, and leave with a few g's of Swt Ntmare... Maybe it is simply a pheno of Nigerian Nightmare...?

Just picked up some of this in SF. I had tried it about two months ago and it was super tasty. This is an amazing strain.

Glad to see there are some more people who have heard about it. Thanks for the info.

I figured Nigerian Nightmare X ? I thought maybe they had made the cross themselves (stateside), but from the story it sounds like it was available in seed form at some point. I wonder who made it?

Very few strains make my list of desirables. In that I don't think it's worth seeking some crazy rare cut, if it comes great if not whatever. This one though is something I would like to get or get the lineage to try and replicate something similar.

Sweet Nightmare (Cannabis Dickindirtus)

Originally brought to the United States as part of a top secret genetics project of the Medicinal Pot Dispensary, knowledge is still closely held because of the temptation of other (lesser) cannagods to try and replicate our highly secret work. The original work was done in our custom lab in a quiet suburb in Houston, Texas.

The original DNA mutation/transformation process was closely managed from beginning to end, with few smoke breaks allowed to ensure we developed only really high quality genetics.

The Nigerian Nightmare (Durban's Poison by Blastoff) was brought in to work on the Sweet Cindy project with a cross of Nigerian Nightmare at the F2 level being selected for the production instruction to the inbred line (not the same as the inbred lines in Kentucky or West Virginia, but you get the point) development project undertaken with Shantibaba's mother-in-law when SB was in jail on the trumped up international man of mystery conspiracy charges debacle.

The second level crosses were released to a select few of breeders in the San Francisco area who promised to run extensive tests, provide data and pay an ongoing licensing fee.

We never received the test results and we didn't get our licensing fee, so our next creation (code named "GPC" - for "Giant Purple Colas" plan) is being kept under lock and key with no field testing slated for the near-term market window period.

Once we receive payment we'll go ahead and release GPC to those who know.

So, in summary we know that this plant is really a cross of everything else that has ever been out there because everyone knows that Sweet Cindy is really a massive cross of Lambsbreath x God Bud x C99 x Apollo 13 x Blueberry x AK47 x Sweet Tooth x Pink Grapefruit x Northern Lights x Romulan x White Rhino and then we have the backcrosses...

It could be that way. I'm not saying it's all true - in fact - none of it is probably true, but it could have happened that way.:bat:

Hey what's up everyone!! Guys, this may be a total coincidence but I am from Indiana and ever since last summer when I got into smoking ONLY the crip, this shit has been around with a constant flow, and then some purple erkle came for a couple weeks, then back to the nightmare for a couple more months and then there was OG kush (which luckily had a few seeds to the half) and then back to nightmare and hasn't been an interrupted flow since probably october. I just found this thread and thought I would share my thought.

Smoke on, toke on!!
