A long time ago, in 1988, there was a lady named Skunk#1. She fell in love with and had kids with Northern Lights #5. The result was a bouncing baby girl called M39, known affecionately to her family as Skunk1/Basic5.
So it goes.
Almost 20 years later, M39 was crossed to William's Wonder to create a child called Gonzo#1. Gonzo#1 is huge dope, big and potent.
Gonzo#1 was crossed to the famous Strawberry Cough mother plant to create Strawberry Gonzo.
I did the Strawberry Gonzo cross a couple years ago and only recently harvested the first crop. Not bad at all.
40 seeds were started, 20 were females. 5 clones were taken from the most promising females. They became known as SG#1 through SG#5.
After smoking them all, it was decided that #3 and #5 were the best of the 20 sisters, and were given another run. The favorite is... #5.
#3 is nice and frosty, gets purple, weighs nicely, but doesn't have the taste I like. So this plant is on the endangered species list. But she sure is pretty.
#5 is the one I'm most interested in. The smell is amazing. It's a joy just having it in the garden because every time I smell the resins, a smile creeps over my face. Smells sorta like green apples and some sort of automotive cleaner. And the resin heads burst like little baloons on your fingertips when you touch a bud. Nice pot. Loaded with the good stuff.
I have some of this dry, it looks mean.
