Most of what I planted germed, but I only dropped 4 beens yielding me two males, and the female pictured below. She was quite the looker with bright pink hairs.. i called her "my punk bitch" LOL. It smoked nice, but the sorta licorice-herbal taste is not my cup of tea. It provided a good day time headie high, and was excellent to start the day with. It always put me in a good mood.

Mister Postman, they're the pinkest pistils ive seen in my life mate ... ive got a freebie pack of that Skunk #1 x Durban Poison, might just have to grow it out now!
Thanks guys.. Yeah she was a real bueaty. The hairs would start white, and start geting pinker, and pinker until they'd die back to orange with the younger hairs a more salmon orange..

Edit: Sory just realized that, that dried bud pictured in my original post above was labeled wrong.. That was not the dp x skunk bud, but these in theis post are correct. I realized this with nick11 post about the orange hairs. Sorry bout that

It depends if you got the old batch of dp x skunk or the new ones. The new ones are actaully good.

That plant pictured above was no taller then 22-24 inches with slight lst, and yielded me 2 ounces under a 250 hps. There wasn't to much space between the internodes on this plant, so the buds formed the whole length of the growth shoots which was nice..
All in all a sweet plant for a freebie.. these seeds were recieved back in May 06 through the boutique. Think I have about two more packs in the fridge I recieved through the months as freebies that I didn't get to pass along yet...

The topic of bag germinatiion came up on another forum bout these freebies, and over there people who tried heat mats started having better success germing this strain.. Figured I'd mention that here for those giving these a try soon.. It certainly wouldn't hurt any setting up a little heating pad to keep the soil warm, and give these the ideal conditions since they've been known to have some problems getting out of the seed..

to give some idea of germ rates, even with a heat mat: i started with 20 DPxSk#1 seeds, of those 10 popped over the next 14 days. 7 of the 10 lived to seedling stage, and 6 of those are now strong plants. i'll be sexing them in just a few days, and am hoping for at least a couple of nice females in the lot.
i had bought a few grams of it at a local medical club a few months back, and it's one of the most incredible floral tastes i've ever had in the vaporizer. not to mention the excellent buzz: as others have already said, it's got a clear sativa stone more suited to thought-intensive work than vegging out. some of the best herbs i've had in the last six months!

I put 5 seeds - S.A. Durban Poison x Skunk #1 to germinate at 5:00 PM, along other seeds (Speed Queen - Mandala Seeds, Ak-48 - Nirvana Seeds, Easy Bud - Female Seeds and other personal crosses). Now the time is 11:30 PM (same day) and the only seed that opened is a Dp x Sk #1 (freebie)... so the germ rates shall be ok, we'll see!
I don't know how long is the flowering period for this stain...anybody can help?
