Marijuana we grow and smoke

I miss the old days of Overgrow. Not the trolling and all the bullshit that was happening toward the end, but the early days when old friends would post up pics of their smoke sessions, and everyone stopped by for a friendly visit.

This thread is dedicated to those good ole days, when it wasn't the buds themselves that mattered, but the experience of smoking and sharing them with old friends, new friends and future friends.

I loved when BOG would post a thread that was for nothing else other than to share the experience of a smoke session, or when Gypsy would post his stories about various travels, complete with a picture diary. Those times were really cool, this online cannabis community we so love was just learning about itself, and the feeling was that anything goes. So many people were just getting turned on to the phenominal selection of strains out there, and many minds were blown by the pictorial proof that cannabis can be something really, really special if properly grown.

Overgrow ended up getting too big for her britches, and became the MTv of online cannabis forums. I left before it went down permanantly, it was getting to be a poisonous environment for the real peace-loving types like myself.

I was here at ICMag from the very start. I was one of the founding moderators, and we had a vision for a new cannabis community, one without the balloney, in-fighting and unfettered drama we were seeing on Overgrow.

ICMag has become the site I hoped for, and has avoided the pitfalls OG fell prey to. There were tough times at the start, really tough, but through all that crap IC has evolved and become home to thousands of respectful members who are here to have fun, learn, and contribute valuable information to those seeking cannabis enlightenment. IC is the modern, evolved version of OG.

So, in honor of the good old days, and in appreaciation of the good new days, I dedicate this thread to friendly smoke sessions among cannabis lovers all over the planet. Here's to many more years of sharing fine cannabis with fine friends.

Some M39 I'm about to spark up. M39 is a Skunk1/Basic5... It's a 20 year old clone of Skunk x Northern Lights. The skunk influence is both sweet and skunky. The NL influence reminds me of the authentic old school smoke. This clone IS authentic old school smoke, so it makes sense.

It's great how marijuana brings people together isn't it? I've met more good friends and people through smoking than any other avenue in my life.

I don't take many pictures of my grows as I barely have time to keep them up and running, but I wanted to show my support for you and the likes that keep places like IC (and OG to early on) a friendly and supportive community.

You ain't kiddin Kigy. I've met the nicest folks over the years, through these sites. I eventually figured out that there are simply too many really cool people here to ever meet them all.

Valk, I always find reasons not to take the time to post pictures too, but this thread serves to remind me of why I posted so much in those early days, It's about sharing, even if you don't feel like it at first.

hey this may be total shiite, but i heard a story about m39 one time from this spanish dude i met through the california medical scene. he said that in europe the popular weaponry was the m39 as opposed to the ak47. have you heard anything about this? i guess if i just knew ak47 genetics i could answer my own question. anyway, cool pics dude, and your story makes me wish i wasn't sucha rook to this community cause it sounds like its been a pretty special thing for you all.

suckerrepellent, I know this cone is ancient, as clones go. It's very possible that it's the same clone. As for the medical scene, I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

"G-Berry is the combination of color and strength that was needed to fill certain medical needs. The hybrid seems to be good for depression, because everybody that grows her seems REAL HAPPY! The potency will put you in your place and cure the common cold. Ok, that may be an exaggeration, but we know you will be happy with GBerry. 2 versions are available. One was mothered by a Green GBerry mom the other a Purple GBerry mom. Both plants produce exceptionally sweet and sticky product. The purple lots are labeled "GBerry(P)" Expect nice branching and strong cloning ability. Not so great for a SOG, but she will do well in ScrOG. Done in 55 days."

Some of you know I write about strains and growing techniques in various magazines. I just can't get enough of it! hehehe So I'm going to keep doing it here. :smile:

These are all sisters. There were 20 sisters in all. These are a few of them.

The strain is called Strawberry Gonzo. It's a cross of my own, a Strawberry Cough mother and a Gonzo #1 father. Gonzo is an M39 mom boffed by her gentleman lover, William's Wonder. The results were pretty much what you'd expect from such a union. :wink: Big, fat, with smells ranging from a bright William's Wonder smell, to fruity, to a stinky G13 burnt rubber scent.

Needless to say, having 20 sisters all growing at the same time was VERY interesting to witness. They were all (with a couple exceptions) grown without being topped. They were allowed to develop nice top colas.

One sister got too fat and started molding in the center of the top bud. I caught it right away, and harvested her. Very little harm was done. This is the sister who started to mold. You can tell there was some mold inside the bud, it was the dead, curling leaf that gave it away. There was no reason for the leaf to be dying like that, so I knew it was mold inside the cola.

I remember gawking at Memy's blackberry plants for many a happy moment back in the early OG days. Somablaze's too. Both did top-notch work. Fun to see.

Anyone here ever watch Marijuana man over on pot tv?

I still do. I am right now as a matter of fact. I downloaded a bunch of my favorites and watch them all the time. It's cool to work on your plants as Marijuana Man raps about growing pot in the background. It's very fitting. I'm watching (listening to) Marijuana Man in Australia part 3 right now, stoned, courtesy M39. Parts 1 and 2 accompanied me as I started this thread. If you've not seen the Marijuana Man episodes, I think you ought to see them. I believe you can still watch the episodes free at pot-tv.net?

Hello CC , good too see you. i'm kinda a old timer, started out over at what used to be the Klozit King site, that was a real good site with a bunch of very kool growers in its early days, dabbled a little at OG, always tripped out when I posted pics there, i'd get about 500 hits in an hour, maybe 10 posts and by the next morning the thread was 3 pages back hehe, and have been here at ICMAG for a few years, its a allot more busy than the klozit but no where near as nuttso that OG was. Maybe this thread will bring out some old timers that have been laying low but still lurk to tell a few stories.

I remember those good ol days of OG of which you speak. Quite the positive vibe.
As OG was getting crazy, I too came over here following Gypsy, BOG, Billygoat, and um...oh yeah Crazy Composer. I figured with a good core group like that, we had the makins of a happy new home.

I still think IC is the best canna-site on the net. Different from OG, but this is still the place I want to hang out.
CC, be sure to stop in to the Wake and Bake thread. It was started by my friend outkastt, who I met in the WnB thread at OG. It's a happy little thread we try to keep as the positive place to hang out and share a smoke with friends. A nice start to the day, and very much like the type of vibe you're describing.
