yeah that is pushing 200 wpsf. probably should stick with a 400 although you could probably keep temps reasonable with a big enough fan.

i run a 600 with 6" insulated ducting and a 6 inch 449 cfm vortex fan in a c22 no prob with heat.

lol thanks man, how big of a fan should i get for the inline and how much cfm speed? also if I want to do a scrog, how high should my plants be if I want to do the whole area of the cab, I am using skunk special strain. WOOT!! I am using a 400w hps aircooled remote ballast with two hydro-drip waterfarm systems, , with two plants :woohoo: :joint:

200 wpsf? You need to recheck your math man. Hes got 12 square feet. With a 600 watter thats 50 wpsf which is perfect. 400 is not enough.

600 watts divided by 3.02 sq. ft. is almost 200 watts per square foot.

whatchall smoking trying to say my math is wrong?

nice try.

true true i guess i was offering overkill on the 400 suggestion.

i run a 600w in my c22 which is about 6 square feet so i was going off of ~100wpsf being ideal.

i guess i just like more light, some say its a waste.. i just like to have slight overkill so i can keep my plants further away from the bulb.. and still have better light penetration deeper into the bush and intensity at the far corners of the cab.

i guess 130-ish would be really overkill tho with that 400 in there.

i wouldn't go lower than 250w imo.

ok i guess i will be going with a 250 hps aircooled remote ballast. my question is how can I can yeild if i do a two plant drip system with a vertical scrog?

ok guys I really want a 400w hps aircooled with a 450 cfm inline, why cant my cabinet do this with srog garden? I know I can keep it cool, my place will be chilly in the summer, cant go wrong with a swampcooler in the place. Can I have too much light if I kept my light high?

I would go with Mtnjohn's advise on this one and if you still want more light I would go with two of those mini 150w HPS. If you are dead set on a 400w build a bigger cab.

Mtn John knows his stuff weed4life and I suggest havin a look at his diary for proof. Like DJ said going with 2 150's could be an option and cheap if you go the DIY way. search out Sugabear's Remote Ballast 150W hps. you can check out my diary too. I have a 430w cabinet and a 150w tent. My tent is close to your size and my 430 cabinet is one size bigger than yours.

here's a couple pics I'll dig up.

some guys use a 600 in the same size cab I have and they have great results but you have to watch temps. Keep in mind that my little 150 tent in comparison gives my 430 cab a run for it's money and I'll most likely shut down my 430 cab and/or give it to a friend.

KillerDemo .. 430W cabinet is 93"hx24"dx40"w aprox....give or take a 1/2"

My 150 tent was built by me to fit just one recycling bin. exact dimmensions??? a little bigger than my bins..lol

Yes Killer I could but weedforlife couldn't cool a 600 in a cab that size. That's the point of this thread but I'm not sure if weedforlife is paying attention

Peace
