GH and coir

Coir is such a lovely medium even with gh it does miracle. If you ever decide to do coir with gh go half strength. Drain to waste is ideal. I feed once a day till i get a run off. I give it ph water once a week. To make sure the salt doesn't build up. Here some pictures. I been working with coir for 3 years now. I use to run krusty buckets and had massive problem with root health. Any question i be gladly to help and reply. Coir is the most forgiven medium

That's my dream....trees in coco....how are the buckets setup? Inner/outer???

That's nice bro....I always had good success with GH....GH nutes are clean...

I ran GH in a coco mix (Botanicare premix coco blend) for my 1st soilless setup.........I had healthy plants with GH 3 part...but my pics sank with the old ship :(

Thanks for the thread

The bucket sit on top of a milk crate. I rotate the plant clock wise every day. I only veg for 2 weeks. So i would say they are mini trees. 50% coir and 50% hydroton. Drain to waste. I have a small bucket that catches the run off. Those where my old krusty buckets.

real nice plants BlueHaze :yummy:

currently i am hand waterin my girls every other day or so :pointlaug but last nite i laid the poly out for my drip system. i planned to water four times daily lightly then flush weekly if i felt they needed it. do you think its better to water once with runoff or several lighter waterings per day?

thanks for sharing man!!!

The dopest if your doing dtw once a day is good. To consume nutz. I have try both ways with excellent results. I just don't like any hoses on the floor. I turn them every day so i wouldn't want plumbing attach..

very nice blue haze. 'psycho buckets' ala ~ the hilarious acry4help, i believe..... haven't seen you around in a while nice to see an old handle :/

what strain are you using in your buckets,? last i remember you were using nlxbb.

That strain is Reeferman willijuana. I learn most of things from reading acry4help thread. Even though my true mentor was krusty but i never got his system to run smooth. That what i love about coir no plumbing no chiller and no breaking a hole in the floor to bury my res. Feed once a day and you good to go. I must repeat my self and say coir is easy to work with. I hear most people think gh don't work in coir. I would totally disagree as you see i'm a week or two from harvest and they totally healthy. I run gh at half strength. I learn less is better with coir. I don't even bother with kabloom or additives for the fact. Its all about understanding your plants need.

gh say that there 3 part is good for coco/soil/hydro glad to hear they are correct. i have read a few post that suggest using pk stimulants in coco is not really needed if you have an understanding on your plants needs. although i must admit when using coco i also use pk13-14 and lower my nutes a little. seems to work well for me......

i like the ease of coco as well, once you have the salt build up under control it's plain sailing. i miss krusty too that ole fool knew his shit, and delivered on the shit n' giggles time and time again even if he was a little rough round the edges... i'm sparking a fattie in his honour right now :joint:

what's willijuana, i'm guessing williams wonder x herijuana?

RM-103 Willijuana
An F1 hybrid of some of our favorite sativas, Vietnamese and Burmese using the
same Vietnamese mother that was used in Willie Nelson. If you are looking for a
tasty potent sativa that yields well look no further than Willijuana. Unique sweet
and sour skunky aromas with a high that will elevate and captivate audiences for
hours. Frosty buds that feel greasy when squeezed. Good mold resistance. Slightly bushy with many branches that are filled with buds. Excellent SCROG or Bucket strain indoors. Huge yields outdoors in the southern USA.

Inside Finish Time: 10-13 weeks
Outside Finish Time: Mid-Late October

Variation: 3 / Odor: 3 /Mold Resistance: 5 / Yield: 5 / Ease of Growth: 5 / Feed: 4.5

Stretch: 2.5- 3x
Sativa/Indica: 100/0
This is the last time growing it. Its not good at all. Very low rating 6. Got the looks and smell but don't have the narcotic affect of a sativa.

Neptune

First time from seed? or are they clones?
What do you expect to yeild with each plant?
and finally, are those all 1000watters? so, 3 1000 watters and 3 plants?
Any pics of the room at large? Would be nice to see your whole setup man!

Looks like an easy 5-8 zips per plant... nice man!

peace!

Neptune, They are clones. There are 2 hps 2 mh 1000. 9 clones, i usually average over a lb per tree but it won't happen with this strain. Not enough branches even though they are huge. I only veg for 2 week also. I will do a thread in few weeks, pure blend pro vs cns17 here in coco forum.

Indica Sativa- gh nutz half strength. instead of usinga a 5ml spoon i use 1/2 ml tea spoon. No additives what so ever. I'm from the old school less is better. I have done with additives and with out and i don't really see the different in yield. Unless you using super bud or bushmaster than that a totally different aspect. Feed nutz for 6 days and ph water on the 7th day to unleash the salt that builds up. Hope that help you.

I'll be there for that :joint: What strain you gonna run for that? I think CNS17 will get better yields...

I'd love to see GH and CNS17 side by side...

Hey man, you're getting beautiful results there with the GH. I used FloraNova Grow and Bloom with my first coco grow and was very happy with the results. Are you using those nutes too, or something else from GH?

I'm using FloraGro, FloraBloom and FloraMicro @7.5ml grow 5ml micro, 2.5ml per gallon for veg and opposite for bloom
