pollen press user tips, suggestions?

I have an old style spacecase pollen press (opens on each end, with two plastic plugs). Whenever I try to press my keif I can never get the plastic pieces apart without prying with a knife. I end up powdering the keif when trying to get it out. Anyone else have these problems, or better yet any solutions to the problem? Thanks, Belle

this might sound crazy, and i havent tried it yet, but my dad use to tell me if it keeps crumbling stick in micro for like 10-20 seconds and it makes it go togeather bit better, after you pressed it of course...seems like it might work

all you need to do is add a round piece of plastic foil over the plugs, this will stop the hash sticking to the plugs and you will be able to peel the foil of the hash no problem.

I had the same problem with the space case and i think alot of it is the space case tolerances are so tight...meaning the press is made tight. I bought a cheaper version awhile back which the plastic pieces don't fit so tight and i have yet to have any problems. One thing you can do is cut out 2 circles of wax paper and put one on each side of the plastic piece that sandwiches the kief. Basically put in your first piece, put in the wax paper, add kief, put in another circle, put in your last plastic piece.

Hi Guys:

Thanks for your imput. Thanks CSB, I tried your idea and it worked great! I appreciate that I can use this little press cause it wasn't cheap, and now I can.

Thanks Again, Belle
