SweetIndica's Grow Room (Currently Running: Sensi Star, Blockhead, Sour Jack)

I will be running both 3 strains under my 1000w hps light. Most of the plants have sprouted, 2 more still need to sprout. I planted 5 Blockheads, 4 Sensi Stars, and 3 Sour Jacks. I am hoping to get a decent female from each strain, and then i will clone the mother from each strain and flower a total of 12 females (4 BH, 4 SS, 4 SJ). Incase anyone was wondering, sour jack is Sour Diesel X Jack Herer. These seeds were given to me as a freebie from Growshopalien, i believe the Sour Diesel was a bx2.5 specimen from Mota.

looking good so far. Nice nugs and nice hash by the look of things. Might want to think about covering the walls, in that closet/room. reflective quality will give you more use out of that light, and you won't have to worry about any of that insulation coming off and contaminating your plants.

Thanks for the comments! My old name was sweetindica, but my posts weren't showing up so this is my new name.

Germanator- i've been thinking about that. This is the only room ATM that i can use, so i'm not sure what to do. I'm assuming i'd have to put up drywall or something and then put mylar or something over the walls. I will try and get something up, if not then i'll do it as a project in the spring after the grow. That would be a better time, as it's freezing out and theres alot more stuff that needs to be done to the room also. Not to mention this is probably the last grow i will be doing in this location, i am relocating in about 4.5 months. Decisions, decisions lol.

wantaknow- Thanks for the kind words!

I'm going to take some new pics of them tonight, when the light turns on in 22 mins. They are on day 11 or 12 now i believe.

EDIT: heres a pic in the meantime. This was taken on day 9 of veg, it's a macro:

It's a sensi star BTW

4.5 months is a short time...but by throwing up a white tarp you could look at it as an invetment toward your next operation. You shouldnt need to throw dry wall up, unless you want it to look better.

Good luck,

Germ

I was actually JUST thinking about a tarp, because theres a store right down the street that sells a bunch of white/silver/etc. tarps for like $5. I needed to go there as they carry some cheap soil also, awesome. Thanks for the Help, i know my grow is boring ATM. Flowering is where the real fun is lol!

Heres the pics i just took. They are on day 11 veg. They do look a little small for their age, probably from the slightly low temps. Last pic is a group shot, the 3 small plants are the sour jacks, the big ones are sensi stars and blockhead, they are all labeled but i haven't memorized them.

Where did you score the blockhead? If it true blockhead its gonna blow away everything else you have there pheno willingEDIT Those are some awfully large pots to start seedlings in,they look like the kmart specials I used to flower clones in.Do they have a lid on the bottom that needs to be removed? When you start in a container that large, you gonna end up wasting a lot of soil as the roots will grow along the sides leaving a big empty space in the middle.Next time try starting out in 4 inch or 2 pint containers and transplanting up when the rootball has filled the container

Yes, it's the REAL blockhead. I got the pack from growshopalien.com for like $57. It's an original breeder pack too. I know the blockhead is really nice, but i need a variety in my garden.

I always start my plants in the 1 gallon pots in the pics. I have had no problems at all. The plants actually love the space, i don't have to worry about them becoming rootbound anytime during vegging. The roots don't just grow along the sides in a big container, thats a false statement. When transplanting from these containers to even bigger pots during flowering, the roots are massive, the rootball fills the whole pot.

The leaves are slightly yellow and curling down a little. I believed this was caused from me watering them a little too much. I wasn't letting the soil dry out completely. I haven't watered in about 4 days, and i'm hoping since they are starting to dry out that in a few days they will bounce back.
