now r u gonna press that stuff or leave it powder? I put everything in my vape so i always leave mine as a powder. I was however wondering if pressing it makes it bubble more or less??

I usually leave the full melt (usually just the 73 bag from the first run) fairly powdery, though I must admit that it's partly because until recently I was never able to make enough to last me more than a week or two. Pressing is certainly not necessary to get fmcd, and though I haven't pressed very much, it seems to me that it wouldn't melt quite as well. Powder = more surface area = more meltiness, in my experience. Most of the time I press the other grades from the other bags and second run, but that's just to make handling and storing easier. I'll post a shot of my little chunk collection tomorrow if I get a chance. Peace.

As promised, here are a couple shots of my chunk collection, some 25 micron, some 73 micron (only from the second run), some 120 micron, but I forget which is which exactly.

None of these are quite fmcd, but they're all still way better than any commercial hash i've seen.

as far as i know, Dr katz usually does most/almost all of his bubble hash with trim that gets frozen right after being cut off the plant. Still wet.. Maybe the man himself can drop by and give us the word..

Kurly is correct. All trim and popcorn nugs go directly to the freezer right after the chop. Occasionally, I freeze for just a few hours and make it the same day, but I usually save up a few plants worth to do together, so the trim may be in the freezer for up to a couple weeks. I haven't noticed any difference as long as it's frozen the whole time. If you dry it first, some of the leaf will crumble into dust during mixing, and this dust will pass through some of the bags and keep you from getting full melt.
