I think ( Stoner Memory Here ) I was talking to Chimera in Chat one day, he said that some strains will throw a few nanners in the last cpl of weeks.. but that didn't mean they where hermie. That plant doesn't look like the true hermies I've seen, too few balls hanging.
Not that it matters much. Just wondering what you thought.
Bagseed will do that to you. You never know what you get. But all you can do it pick them off and hope for the best. With only 2 weeks till harvest not much damage can be done.
looks like it has way more than 2 weeks to me, more like 3-4 imo. dont cut it early. looks like almost all new white pistil growth. i know trichs are the key but, usually pistils are a good indicator.. just my .02..
it ain't just bagseed. any plant can throw off hermi's its just the way it goes.
those are the bad kind too.
Just FYI some strains will put out nanners that don't pod up, just waxy little nanners stick out. most of the time these nanners are sterile and can't hurt nothing. so don't waste your time picking them out.
but 2weeks before its done pollen sacks like the ones you have are dangerous. if they open they can pollenate your plant with hundreds of seeds the size of pinheads.
which doesn't sound like it would do anything but the tiny seeds makes the herb sizzle and pop and smoke very bitter.
^true, I had that with my previous crop. 1 (feminized) plant when hermie in late flowering and seeded itself. Needless to say everything that came of the plant was full of immature (white) seeds and I truely think it affected potency as well.
I'm also dealing with balls on my ladies at the moment. But I'm at least 6 weeks away from harvest. Looks like I'm gonna have a busy month or so ahead of me.
Looks like you got a nice plant there though...hope your nanners don't get too comfy.
Those pics and the nanners are on the bottom of the plant, about 15 inches above that, the pistils are beginning to change color a bit. I checked yesteday and they are 50/50 clear and cloudy. This is the end of the 7th week for them.
Some that I picked off didn't seem to have pollen in them, they were hard and thin, a few were fat and were full of pollen. And it has only been one plant out of the four so far.
I am not freakin over this, ain't nothin' but a thang, and I got plenty in veg to roll right in.
I did my nanner check again today, bifocals and a good light are needed. Did not find any, and still seems to be limited to only one plant. All is well.........
I have the same deal with SourD 2.5. They too seem concentrated on a few plants, but were pods. Weird how they never did it before, and now they had the least stress of all my grows, go figure...
