Learning all over again!

Hello!
This will be my journal for my first grow in a decade or so!! So much has changed and my new relocation to a legal medical state it will be my first legal grow! Along with this I am using led lights for the first time! Legit soil FFOF and HF. I was unable or unwilling to take my chances going to a grow store to find these when growing where I used to live. So I am hoping for allot better results this time around!
I am starting off in a 2' X 4' grow tent this time so not much different then my wardrobe grows in the past. I will be using 2 Mars 600 Watt LED lights. I have a carbon scrubber pulling air out. 2 intake fans running room temp air into the tent and a fan pulling in from the lower passive air intake. The fan will also be for plant growth and stability! My temps though throughout are between 78 and 84ish give or take from my 3 remote tstats. My humidity is around 50-55%. I will be starting off on 18/6.... I am still debating.. I have always done 24/0 for veg. but I do seethe argument for darkness and resting! We will see but I am leaning on 18/6 for veg. I am currently germing 3 Blue Dream feminized and 3 Skittlez that I purchased from Captain Redbeard Seeds. I started them last night using the paper towel method but I made a mistake and left them on the tv receiver and the bag got pretty hot so I am hoping that they are still ok.. if not we will germ other! I am going to start the seedlings in solo cups in plain Happy Frog soil until they are established.(Hopefully the soil will be enough without having to feed them anything). From then transfer to a mix of undecided maybe 50/50FFOF and Happy Frog and in 1 gallon grow bags and then into their final 5 gallon grow bags. I am hoping by mixing both soils they should feed themselves longer without having to add nutrients.. This is where my knowledge is lacking and I am looking into more input on when and what to feed or use and options. Is fox farm nutes good? CAl Mag etc....I am still decieding on allot of LST or topping and doing a SOG type run. Input would be great! good or bad I need to hear it at some point! today was a good day! I decided against jiffy pots I just didn't want to take a chance and they dry out but now that I have got my temperature problem fixed lol it should not be a problem anyway! I never did turn my sctubber 100% so i wasn't sucking any heat out hardly!!! IDIOT move lol oh well!! My beans popped and I transplanted into Solo cups in a makeshift dome. The soil is straight Happy Frog for now. I will transfer to the mix later! I just moistened the soil and planted each seed around 1/2''-1'' down and we will see when they sprout!!! SO far good stuff! If we get all 2 to pop dirt well have 100% germ and pop rate!! I love growing! Even if it is not Mary Jane it's so much more to me its a life a hobby!!! I left a few pics but still nothing great to look at yet but its a start! I am going to start doing my research on best traing / Yeild for my area and at when I should add nutes... The only 2 major areas I a, aunsure of right now.. So any input would be great!! thanks again for stoppin by!

I got up today and checked on things everything is good but soil was still very dry so i went ahead and watered more thoroughly to get more moisture in the soil. I should have done this in the beginning.... I then accidentally knocked over one of the cups while testing soil moisture!!!!!! I did not see the seed and it was only a lil dirt. Well wait and see if it fails well start another bean!!! Anyway still no porn..... Good things come with time!!! Everyone have a great day and stay safe!!!!!

if your plants have a nice robust root system out of those solo cups you might want to go to straight of' soil

Well I'm hoping the lack of bud porn and or lack of doing something wrong/right.. maybe is the reason why no one has commented yet lol!!! I know it's nothing crazy or expensive,.. well it's getting there HAHA If you see things wrong or have another suggestion please share!! I have no problems with criticism! I just wanna grow again and this time the right way, the way it should be done!! With that said I welcome all input, ideas, taunts, whatever!! I am on day 6 since starting germination. Not a whole lot has changed! including that compulsive disorder to always wanna look at your plants! LOL I have been doing good but I thought I out grew this my first few grows back in the day HAHA! Anyways I'm smoking on some pretty good nugs and forgot it impairs my typing sp please excuse my grammar! I can't English on a good day! Back to the grow! I have 2 seedlings that have popped the dirt and one is stretching already my #2 (Skittlez). I actually used a paper clip to LST it down for now! Gotta start early!! The other is a Blue dream and it is still short and fat! I kind of jacked up and did not pre moisten my soil when I put it into the cups..... To much going on and squirreled it! So the first night or so they got a little dry, I do not think completely but it made me nervous so I tested the soil and it in face said dry but in turn I knocked over my #3 Blue dream. I didn't see the seed and only a little came out so hopefully he will pop. He was the only one I was really worried about. I have since watered the rest and tested the soil today and it was wet so I did not water and we will look at tomorrow!! Oh the patience,, It's like being a kid all over again that giddy feeling you get inside so happy feelin lol! Sorry cant help it nad ready to be back at it~ Any way so I still have Skittlez #1 and #3 that have not popped the dirt yet and Blue Dream #1 and #3 in the same situation! I went ahead and popped 4 more seeds into paper towels and baggies to germ just in case! Gotta fill those pots!!! I am actually really interested in trying some auto's for my setup but just don't know enough about them yet! Gonna check it out but for now well stick with closest to what i know! Hell feminized seeds were getting started back when I was first starting or at least I didn't pay enough attention lol imagine that, I am going to try and attach some pics!! Everyone be safe! Well nothing much new to share but Ill post some pics... It looks like 2 out of 6 plants are popping the dirt. I will give them a few more days and see and if not I will go ahead and consider them toast,,,, I think I will dig for the seeds first though just to see if I can see what went wrong.. I think they just got to dry! I went ahead though and planted 2 more of each into the same happy frog soil after prewetting the soil this time haha! Rookie mistake or high mistake i duuno it happens! I will just sit back and wait and see what pops of all 4 of these! They were germed in the paper towel bag method as well, Again here are some more pics of my setup and what im working with! At least till I get some good bud porn!!! Anyway please any and all critiquing and or whatever please chime in! Peace to all!

Alrighty seems I got 50 posts and a few things have changed!!! I think it will get better from here! At least I won't look like a big dummy cause I can't fix things lol!!! Or delete some idiotic high thing I said LOL!! Any how Day 9 for My 2 girls both Number 2 one is a Blue Dream and the other is Skittlez both are feminized and were bred by Captain Redbeard. These were the only 2 plants out of 6 that sprouted out of the soil! All of them germed just fine in the paper towel method but there were a few rookie mistakes like roasting them on the bags while germing and then forgetting to premoisten my soil when planting they got kind of dry but I kept hope and at least these 2 came out! I have the others #1 and #3 1 each of both strains still in the tent but at day 9 I am not sure how much longer I am going to give them! As I have both my #4's of both strains popping soil today as the #5 skittlez! So hoping my other #5 Blue Dream sprouts tonight! That will give me my 6 plants to start and then I can look at what I am going to start next! Anyhow tomorrow at noon the lights will be going off and coming back on at 6pm. I hope this will give the plants time to rest! I will then officially be on 18/6 from the 24 i have been on! I will be leaving all of my exhaust and fans on though during dark time!! Here are a few pics of where I'm at! Still trying to figure out when I need to give nutes!!! I have them just nervous to use!! (It's not a little chicken shit here and there like I am used to this time!! I will post a pic of the nutes and also follow up on a thread in that forum as well!! Thanks for stopping by!! No big updates but just started 2 of Redbeards Widow germing paper towel/bag germ. These are not feminized so I will have to really watch these for sexing!
