Hi there
I just did a few changes in my grow room, introduced CO2 and also bought a couple of Fluence Leds in addition to my 2 Dimlux Lec lights. I 've taken photos for the last 11 days so I will be publishing them in between the next few days until I get up to date.
Dimlux is offering one of the most complete grow systems, their controller and add ons are amazing and the possibilities of scaling and adding lamps and all sorts of sensors and controllers almost have no limit. They deliver 1411 umol/s at 760W
Fluence to me is the biggest game-changer right now, state of the art led technology that delivers a massive 1700 umol/s , that on a 630W fixture is something else. If you add to that the possibilities vertical grow rooms can offer, it makes it the most sought item in grow industry, get ready for a 6 months waiting list on some of the fixtures if you are in EU....and they are not cheap, believe me.
The genetics I chose for this grow/experiment was Gelato, in clone form, but Coronavirus stopped all deliveries for clones. Lucky me, I had a bag of Kandy Kush X OG a Spanish breeder gave me to test last year, so that's what I seeded, I don't remember last time I used seeds it has been years of using clones only.
So, without further a do, lets talk about the room set up:
2 X Fluence SPYDR2i LED
2 X Dimlux Dual Full Spectrum
1 X Techgrow T2 CO2 controller + T4 sensor
1 X 90 L Dehum
1 X AC
4 X Fans
2 X Scrubbers (fan X filter)
I will be growing in 11 Ltrs cloth pots, putting 12 plants X Meter under the Dimlux lights, and 15 plants X 1,20 Msq. But before going to the 11-liter pots I will transplant first to 1,5-liter pots
And it all started here:
I kept the seeds in water for around 15 hours, what you see in the plate is how they show roots after that time.... 24 hours later 100% of the seeds sprouted in the plates with wet cloths
Next step is to put the seeds in the Monkey Klones tray, this product showed up last year in Spain, and in that time it has become the number 1 product for seed and clone first stage.
Monkey Klone comes with Coco and Sphagnum peats, a very small amount of NPK, Iron and Calcium Carbonate.
The only problem I find is that this is a product that was thought for clones, and its density makes you have to work with a very small metal spoon to slowly carve it, that way the plug gets airier and its easier to plant the seed, asides the seed will be way looser to be able to push itself above the ground.
